Tokyu Stay Nihombashi Tokyo

Tokyu Stay Nihonbashi -Tokyo

At Tokyu Stay Nihombashi, room type matters more than simply choosing your dates. An in-room washer-dryer and kitchenette can make a longer Tokyo stay much easier, but neither amenity is available in every room. Choosing the correct category is the key to enjoying the hotel’s main advantage.

Reasons to stay and trade-offs to consider

Reasons to choose it

  • Selected room types include a washer-dryer and microwave, useful for packing lighter on a long trip.
  • Residential rooms also have kitchenettes for preparing simple meals.
  • Nihombashi and Kanda are good for food and shopping, and guests also like the lobby coffee.

Trade-offs

  • Neither the 14 m² Smart Double nor the 16 m² Moderate Double lists an in-room washer-dryer.
  • Basic cleaning during shorter stays is on request and does not include making the bed every day.
  • The closest station exit is not always the easiest with large luggage; plan your route.

Rooms and luggage space: what to choose

The official room guide lists a 14 m² Smart Double with a 140 cm bed and microwave; the 15 m² Standard Double adds a washer-dryer. The 16 m² Moderate Double has a 160 cm bed but no washer listed. For both laundry and a kitchenette, choose the 17 m² Residential Double with a 160 cm bed. The 28 m² Residential Twin suits travellers wanting separate beds or more room to move. Compare the equipment rather than upgrading solely for an extra square metre.

Bathrooms and everyday essentials

Breakfast: plan around your mornings

Breakfast is served in a format that you can take back to your room, handy if you want to eat while organizing your belongings. When leaving early for another part of Tokyo, first check collection times. In a kitchenette-equipped room, convenience-store food, supermarket groceries and eating out can be mixed across the stay. Do not mistake this convenient in-room breakfast for a leisurely buffet in a large dining room.

Location, transport and luggage

The source information puts Shin-nihombashi Station about two minutes away, but guests note that exit stairs can make luggage difficult. Kanda and Mitsukoshimae may offer alternative approaches; choose based on your actual train line and the available lifts rather than the closest point on a map. Tokyo Station is also within walking distance, although the walk with large bags, in rain or during transfers takes longer than an unencumbered stroll.

If arriving via Kodemmacho, the official guidance lists lifts from the gates near platforms 1 and 2 to street level. This is an option when you prefer not to carry luggage up stairs, but Kodemmacho is not the closest exit to Shin-nihombashi; you will still need to walk from street level to the hotel.

Where to go and eat nearby

I would split COREDO Muromachi, Nihombashi department stores and dining in Kanda across two half-days, picking up breakfast or fruit on the way back. Guests mention nearby convenience stores, supermarkets and chain restaurants, all helpful when you have a kitchenette. This is not a hotel with Ginza’s main shopping street on its doorstep, so I would set aside a separate day for Ginza.

For a half-day nearby, see Nihombashi museum and historic architecture walk。

Useful amenities and services

The in-room microwave is handy for reheating meals, and having a washer-dryer means you do not have to wait beside a shared machine. But kitchenettes and laundry facilities differ by room type: a guest photo does not mean every room has that setup. Allow enough time for drying, rather than washing a week’s clothes on the night before check-out.

One or two nights versus a longer stay

For a two-night stay, the washer in a Standard Double may be enough. If you are staying a week and want to prepare simple meals, I would look first at the Residential types. The hotel says basic cleaning is by request, mainly replacing towels and sleepwear and collecting rubbish. Stays of seven nights or more also receive a full cleaning once a week. If you expect a freshly made bed every day, this distinction matters.

Accommodation details worth checking

Guests appreciate being able to do laundry without waiting for a shared machine. Some also mention clashes between washer and bathroom doors, dusty air-conditioning or cramped rooms. Convenient equipment does not necessarily mean generous circulation space, so check the layout for longer stays. A window may face a neighbouring building; do not book on room photographs alone if views are important to you.

My recommendation

If laundry and simple cooking are priorities, choose from the equipment list: the 15 m² Standard Double has a washer, the 17 m² Residential Double has laundry and a kitchenette, and the 28 m² Residential Twin gives separate beds and more room to move. After choosing the right room, decide whether the breakfast and cleaning arrangements work for your stay.
