Tokyu Stay Ginza

In-room laundry makes longer Ginza stays easier—but read the cleaning rules

Tokyu Stay Ginza is appealing because you can return from shopping and wash clothes in the room. For travelers packing fewer outfits and staying several nights, an in-room washer-dryer matters more than an ornate lobby. But anyone expecting full daily housekeeping should understand the service rules before booking.

First checkMy recommendation
Suitable tripLonger stays, business trips and people who select a category with washer-dryer while spending time around Ginza and Higashi-ginza. If full daily housekeeping is essential, or you assume every Twin has laundry, verify the exact room first.
Rooms to compareModerate is 15 m² with a 140 cm bed and Superior Double is 18 m² with a 160 cm bed. Both have a washer-dryer and microwave.
Main trade-offFor multi-night stays, light housekeeping is provided on request by hanging the cleaning sign: towels, bathmat, nightwear and rubbish are replaced, rather than full daily bed-making.

Choose the right room and luggage space

The Moderate is 15 m² with a 140 cm bed, and Superior Double 18 m² with a 160 cm bed; both have in-room washer-dryers and microwaves. For a kitchenette, choose the 25 m² Residential Double with a 160 cm bed. The 33 m² Executive Double has a 180 cm bed and separated bathing facilities. The easily mistaken 25 m² Superior Twin has two 120 cm beds and a microwave but NO washer-dryer. If laundry is your reason for booking, don’t reserve that Twin just for its size.

Transport and luggage

The official guide lists Ginza Station Exit A7 around three minutes and Higashi-ginza Exit A1 around two. With suitcases, check lifts for your actual line instead of taking the nearest stairs; choose your train to the airport by its destination, since not every service on the line goes straight there.

Tokyo Metro lists an elevator from the Higashi-ginza central gate toward Exit 3 and another from the Miharabashi-side gate toward A1. Choose according to your platform before walking at street level to Ginza 4-chome. The normal A1 walking estimate does not apply from every platform.

Breakfast is not currently offered

Current booking information says no breakfast, and the hotel has posted notices about renovations and breakfast service ending. Treat this as a self-catering long-stay base: prepare a simple meal the night before or visit Ginza or Tsukiji cafés in the morning. Do not expect breakfast based on older restaurant photos.

One or several nights

Staying two or three nights in a category with washer-dryer makes light packing easier. Superior Twin is good for separate beds and floor area, but laundry must be arranged elsewhere. If not using laundry on a short visit, compare location, bed type and total price rather than paying extra for unused equipment.

Housekeeping rules to understand

Light housekeeping on consecutive nights is by request: hang the sign on the door. It covers towels, bath towels, bathroom mat, nightwear and rubbish collection, not full bed-making and room cleaning. For stays of seven nights or more, the hotel provides a full clean once a week, including bed-making. If you want vacuuming and bed service daily, ask about extra cleaning before booking; a washer-dryer does not mean full daily housekeeping.

Explore Ginza without backtracking

Use Ginza walks (Chinese guide) and Tsukiji Outer Market (Chinese guide) to group nearby stops on the same day.

Once a room and routine suit your trip, compare total prices for identical dates, guest count and cancellation conditions. Consider breakfast and upgrades separately.
