Kitchen and in-room laundry suit longer family stays; plan suitcase access first

Is it right for my trip?
To live in Tokyo as though I had a small apartment, I would shortlist MONday Apart Premium Ginza Shintomicho for a family stay. A dining table, kitchen area and in-room washing machine make it possible to organize groceries, breakfast and clothes inside the apartment. The important compromises are subway stairs with bags and the level of self-service expected at an apartment hotel.
Good points and compromises
What I like: Guest reviews appreciate the kitchen area, utensils and washer-dryer. Buying groceries nearby is convenient, and Tsukiji and Ginza can be combined in one day.
Before booking: Reviews differ on housekeeping details, small insects in the bathroom and the comfort of duvets. Ask ahead if full daily housekeeping or thicker bedding is important to you.
Location: walking unencumbered is different from pulling cases
Yurakucho Line Shintomicho Exit 7 is about a one-minute walk. With large suitcases or a stroller, take the elevator at Exit 1, then navigate above ground. Hibiya Line Tsukiji Exit 3a is roughly five minutes and Hatchobori Exit A2 around six. The hotel also lists elevator access at Hatchobori A2.
Use the official access guide and check current elevator or construction notices before your arrival.

Room types: compare beds, living space and bathrooms
Assign sleeping places for each guest and plan bathroom and luggage use first. Official room and equipment details can help you check the table. Booking sites may translate category names differently, so also match the English names.
| Room type / layout | Area and equipment | My selection |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Family | 30.11 m²; two 90 cm beds, additional sofa-bed and bunk sleeping places | For four guests, allocate each person’s sleeping place first. |
| Superior Family | 32.98 or 33.76 m²; two 100 cm beds, plus sofa-bed and bunk sleeping places | For four who prefer slightly wider regular beds. |
| Superior Japanese / Grand Japanese | 37.38 / 45.25 m²; two 100 cm beds and Japanese-style futons | For five guests happy using futons. |
Photos show regular beds with a dining table and, in other categories, Japanese-style seating. For two guests check passages around twin beds. With children, consider where futons and extra beds extend. Even rooms with the same maximum occupancy may have different free floor space.
Some families liked having a kitchen, washer and separated bathroom areas. Over several nights, those features are more useful than a room category name. Confirm the precise equipment in the category you reserve.

Guest photographs: imagine the space with daily belongings
Guest photos help show beds, tables and bathroom paths in everyday use. They may cover different room types, so compare with your own reservation.

Facilities: plan around what you actually use
In-room meal preparation and laundry are the main advantages. Self check-in and self-service amenities mean you handle more of the everyday tasks. This is a good fit for families happy with an independent apartment routine.
Breakfast: hotel meals aren’t provided
The property does not serve breakfast. I would buy bread, fruit or groceries the evening before and eat around the dining table. If I wanted breakfast at Tsukiji Market, I could go there without worrying about a hotel meal.
Nearby itineraries: give the neighborhood time
Spend one morning at Tsukiji Outer Market, then shop around Ginza in the afternoon. Return to organize purchases and eat near Shintomicho. This saves repeatedly crossing town.
For a half-day outing, see Tsukiji Outer Market walking guide (Chinese).
Short stays, longer visits and my choice
Even for one night, the apartment has more everyday functions than a basic room; kitchen and laundry become most useful over three or four nights. For specific cleaning or bedding requirements, ask as soon as you arrive rather than discovering a problem at midnight.
If kitchen and laundry facilities are priorities for a longer family visit, I would compare this place seriously. Before confirming, check guest count, the exact room, lack of breakfast and arrival hours.
