TOKYO / CHIYODA

THE GATE HOTEL TOKYO: Ginza Rooms, Breakfast and Train Noise

Ginza location and station exits

THE GATE HOTEL TOKYO by HULIC at 2-2-3 Yurakucho works especially well for Ginza shopping and Hibiya dining. The hotel lists Ginza C1 and Hibiya A1 exits at around one minute and JR Yurakucho Ginza Exit at three minutes. Mita Line Hibiya D7 is another three-minute route. These start at the street exits, not the train platforms. The step-free route from a suitable lift, including the Ginza area A7/B2 elevators, has not been measured. With heavy luggage, I would prioritize the correct lift over the shortest stair exit.

Compare Modest, Essential, Classy and Luxe

Official room sizes range from Modest 20 m² and Essential 24–26 m² to Classy 34–36 m² and Luxe 42–52 m². Essential includes double or Hollywood-twin arrangements; Classy has king, twin and triple options. Some offers allow only electronic cigarettes, so confirm the nonsmoking condition. A September 29, 2026 guest opened two 24-inch suitcases in a nonsmoking standard double, while a May 4 standard-single guest had room for little more than one. These are different rooms. Luxe photographs show sofas, large windows and a sitting table not found in every entry-level room.

Breakfast at Anchor Tokyo

Breakfast runs 06:30–10:00, with a choice of Eggs Benedict, French toast or Croque Monsieur alongside a buffet counter offering salad, bread, fruit and drinks. The October 2026 adult reference price was ¥3,800 including tax with service charge extra. Travelers in August and October praised breakfast; that does not mean every day requires a prepaid meal. I would compare the inclusive rate if I wanted time for a substantial breakfast, otherwise eat around Ginza.

Train noise and how I would choose

Train noise appeared in reviews on May 10 and October 2, 2026, yet a September 29 guest praised sound insulation and an August guest reported a quiet higher-floor assignment. The noise reports involved different room and smoking categories. Higher floors and rooms farther from the tracks are requests, not guarantees. I would choose the desired quietness and nonsmoking conditions first, then floor area and breakfast. A Classy Triple should be confirmed for three guests, including remaining suitcase space.
