Super Hotel Premier Akihabara: Natural Hot Spring, Welcome Bar and Compact Rooms
Super Hotel Premier Akihabara
Super Hotel Premier Akihabara is suitable for those who want to soak in the hot springs after shopping in Akihabara and still want to use the hotel’s public services in the evening. I would choose it for the natural hot springs and the welcome bar, but I wouldn’t expect spacious rooms just because the name "Premier". The 2026 reviews repeatedly mentioned the small bathrooms and the single elevator, which are more directly relevant to daily stays than brand level.

Advantages and disadvantages
- Advantages: The branch’s official website clearly lists separate natural hot springs for men and women, a welcome bar, and a paid healthy breakfast, which is more than just a platform label.
- Advantages: You can combine shopping and hot spring bathing in Akihabara in one day, without having to find a separate bathhouse.
- Cons: The small bathroom appeared in the original reviews in July, September and October; some people also felt that the large public bath was too small and should not be expected to be a large spa.
- Disadvantages: Several guests mentioned in June and July that there was a waiting time for the elevator during peak hours and check-out.
To walk from Akihabara to the riverbank, there’s an elevator exit at another location.
The branch’s official page lists the JR Akihabara line as about 4 minutes away, with the address 2-25-8 Kanda-Suda-cho. However, the page doesn’t clearly specify the JR exit, so a complete route from the general exit to the hotel is missing an exit field. Original reviews vary greatly in walking time, ranging from near the station to about 15 minutes, which may be due to factors like exit location, walking pace, and luggage. Therefore, this review does not use the shortest review as a guarantee. Source 1
Taking the Hibiya Line, you can use the JR Akihabara route listed on the Metro Akihabara website to take the elevator to Exit 3, then walk to the ground level to reach the hotel. The travel time for this alternative route has not been measured, and it is not the same route as the approximately 4-minute JR route listed on the official website. Guests in July and June mentioned that crossing bridges, intersections, and rainy weather are inconvenient; those with suitcases or strollers should include this section in their itinerary, rather than assuming the entire route is covered simply because it says "near the station." Feedback from guests in June indicated that there are restaurants near the hotel, but they specifically noted that there is no convenience store downstairs; if guests want to buy water or late-night snacks, they can do so on their way back. Large groups of shoppers should also consider room space and luggage storage.

Don’t just look at the words "double" when choosing a room type.
| Trip shows room types | Bed type can be confirmed | Need to ask more questions |
|---|---|---|
| Trip-view room type: Standard Double Room | Bed type confirmed: 1 double bed | Additional questions need to be asked regarding the area, bed width, and luggage area. |
| Trip-view room type: Double bed with desk | Bed type confirmed: 1 double bed | I need to ask a follow-up question about the desktop and chair configuration. |
| Trip shows room type: double bed with sofa. | Bed type confirmed: 1 double bed | I need to ask if the sofa takes up space when unpacking. |
| Trip shows room types: Single Room | Bed type confirmed: 1 single bed | Additional questions need to be asked: area and whether the layout is the same. |
The room type page did not list the full area and bed width, and did not fill in the blanks with dimensions from other branches of the brand. On July 26, a guest was dissatisfied with the layout of two beds side by side, and on October 18, a family guest said the layout was different from their expectations; these are not the same incident, but both highlight the importance of checking the actual bed type and room name before booking. Those traveling with children should especially confirm the number of guests allowed and not use the sofa as an extra bed.
The official website lists coin-operated laundry, suitable for consecutive stays; however, official details regarding cleaning times and whether guests need to leave their rooms are still lacking. A guest mentioned that cleaning is not done after 10 PM, but this is based on individual experience and should not be considered a fixed rule for the entire facility.
The two comments from July 26th and October 18th, where the room layout was not as expected, can now be confirmed as randomly assigned upon login; the comment from September 23rd mentioning the small toilet is for a standard double room. If I have specific requirements regarding mattress arrangement, desk or sofa configuration, I will first specify the room name and configuration, rather than treating random room assignment as an option with controllable conditions.
The guest photos show the relationship between the luggage next to the bed and the entrance passage, and there is also a picture of the enclosed mini-bathroom; the public bathhouse has a separate set of pictures. If I have to organize shopping at the market every day, I will first assess the flow of movement in this part of the room, and I will not take "being able to go to the public bathhouse" as a reason for the room to feel naturally larger.

Hot springs, a welcome bar, and breakfast are only valuable if they are actually used.
The official website lists the natural hot springs from 3:00 PM to 9:30 AM the following day, and the welcome bar from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, noting that these times are subject to change. June travelers should note that drinks are available until 8:30 PM, which differs from the current official hours. This information is based on the official verification date and is not guaranteed to remain unchanged every night. Hot springs do not remedy all room inconveniences; a guest complained about water pressure at the bathhouse on July 1st, which was a single incident.
The official breakfast schedule is 7:00–9:30, including rice, baked bread, miso soup, and salad, all for a fee. The Trip policy states breakfast time is up to 9:00, while the accommodation description says 9:30; this review is based on the official website. The additional adult purchase fee has not been obtained from the official website and will not be used as the platform’s confirmed price of 1,300 yen. The initial reviews did not provide sufficient breakfast options, so the breakfast cannot be considered particularly abundant. If I’m leaving before 7:00 or plan to eat out daily, I would choose the option without breakfast and arrange an alternative.
The review for the double room with a desk, added on October 20th, mentioned that the breakfast area was sometimes cramped and also mentioned the elevator wait again; it didn’t provide details about the menu or taste, but it did remind me of the time cost in the morning. If I have a train on time the next day, I will allow extra time for breakfast and going up and down stairs, and it’s not just about whether meals start serving at 7 am, which makes the schedule just right.

The recent negative reviews are not from a single voice.
This review contains 10 original comments, all from June to October 2026. There were multiple reports of issues with a single elevator, although one passenger on July 4th found it acceptable. The small bathroom and bathhouse issues were repeated in different comments. The foreign object on the bed on July 1st was a single cleaning concern; no investigation or improvement information was provided, so it shouldn’t be generalized to the fact that bed sheets weren’t changed. The language and attitude of the staff in June and the lack of response to emails in October are different service cases and shouldn’t be generalized to all employees.
For a one-night hot spring and shopping trip with light luggage, I would include it in my itinerary; for longer stays or groups, I would first inquire about room type, cleaning, and laundry services. For those who use the hot spring and welcome bar every night, the public facilities are more useful; for those who just want to go to bed late, there’s no need to pay the price for room space just because of these names.
