Sotetsu Fresa Inn Kanda-Otemachi: Kanda West Exit, Breakfast and Laundry
Sotetsu Fresa Inn Kanda Otemachi
Sotetsu Fresha Inn Kanda-Otemachi’s practical value lies in its daily amenities near Kanda Station: it’s suitable for those who need to take the JR train, find food in the evening, and are willing to accept a small room. I would prioritize understanding this place as "accommodation near Kanda West Exit" rather than assuming that seeing "Otemachi" means you can walk directly to the hotel from the underground shopping mall.

The advantage is that the functions are concentrated, and it is limited by space and shared equipment.
- Advantages: It’s a 3-minute walk from the west exit of Kanda Station, and the original reviews have repeatedly affirmed its convenience for traveling to and from JR lines.
- Advantages: There is a breakfast restaurant on the first floor; the original reviews often mentioned that the amenities in the lobby are self-service, which makes it easier to prepare for consecutive stays.
- Limitations: The room type card for this Trip does not include the room size and bed width, so the comfort level for two people cannot be judged solely based on the "small double room" description.
- Limitations: There are original reviews mentioning soundproofing, air conditioning noise, and insufficient washing machine capacity. Guests staying longer should allow extra time for these issues to be addressed.
The address is 2-8-4 Naikanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. This is a different branch from the same group’s "Sotetsu Fresh Inn Tokyo Kanda". The official homepage is readable; some room types and transportation subpages are currently undergoing maintenance, but missing information is retained. This is our official homepage. Source 1
The elevator exit is located near the JR Kanda West Exit; please check separately.
The official route is a 3-minute walk from Kanda West Exit; however, on August 25, 2026, a guest walked from the South Exit, and the original estimate on May 28 was 3 to 5 minutes. This does not mean that all exits are the same distance; the route should be chosen according to the actual direction of arrival. The elevator exit names, distances to the hotel, and walking times were not confirmed for this time, and there is no sufficient information to guarantee that there are no steps between the platform and the lobby.
"Otemachi" is part of the hotel’s name and cannot be directly written as a number of minutes from a certain exit of Otemachi Station. When carrying large suitcases, I first check the elevator and ticket change routes at JR Kanda Station before heading there from the ground level; if the navigation redirects you to the subway exit, you should double-check whether you need to take the stairs. For those catching the Shinkansen from Tokyo Station, there are train journeys and Shinkansen station travel times between Kanda and Tokyo Station, so you can’t assume that the entire transfer time is just one stop’s journey.

Single, small double, and twin beds – fill in the missing numbers first.
| Trip shows room types | Known bed type | Key figures still missing |
|---|---|---|
| Trip shows room types: Single Room | Known bed type: One single bed | Key figures still missing: area, bed width |
| Trip shows room type: small double room | Known bed type: One small double bed | Key figures still missing: area, actual bed width, and luggage space for two people. |
| Trip shows room type: Twin room | Known bed type: Two single beds | Key missing figures: area, bed width, and whether beds can be shared. |
Currently, no official room type information is available, so this article will not supplement the specifications of other Soetsu branch hotels. The new original review indicates that single rooms are available for passengers with large suitcases on August 25 and September 2, 2026, while twin rooms are mentioned as having smaller rooms and bathrooms on August 14. These individual experiences cannot guarantee that large suitcases can be laid out in every room.
For a short stay, I recommend comparing single rooms first; for two people who don’t want to share a bed, I suggest looking at twin rooms, but I should first ask about the bed width and size. If the room needs to accommodate children’s items, a stroller, or two large suitcases, I will wait until the actual configuration is confirmed before making a decision, rather than just looking at the number of guests.
New reviews describe the single room as "suitable for packing": both August 25th and September 2nd, 2026, use this description; while those who felt the room and bathroom were small on August 14th were referring to the twin room. While official dimensions cannot be provided, these reviews are enough to remind me not to use my experience with a single room to justify the use of a twin room for two people. If I bring a stroller or two large suitcases, I will wait for the actual configuration before deciding whether it’s suitable.
The photos of twin rooms show the desk and luggage in use, while the single room shows a narrow passageway from the entrance to the side of the bed. The newly added Trip single room photo set also shows rooms with a bathtub, sink, and toilet in the same room; some photos still show the UNIZO brand, but the dates are not marked, so they cannot be taken as evidence of the current condition of the amenities after the brand change. Even with two suitcases, I would still ask about the actual layout of the room I booked; I don’t use positive reviews of single rooms to endorse twin rooms.

The official breakfast schedule is more complete than that of the Trip.
The official restaurant page lists a buffet breakfast at the Casablanca Kanda branch on the first floor, open daily from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM, with last order at 10:00 AM. The estimated cost is 1,980 yen including tax. Payment at the counter is by credit card or QR code (verified as of October 23, 2026). [Original breakfast information from the official page] Source 1
Trip listed the breakfast hours as 7:00–10:00, which is close to the official last order time. This article adopts the official division of "ends at 10:30, last order at 10:00". The website lists examples of bread, salad, curry, etc., but the content is not guaranteed to be the same every day. The 10 original reviews lacked sufficient specific details about the taste and variety of breakfast dishes, so they cannot be described as "unanimously positive by guests".
If you need to leave before 7:00 AM, breakfast is less useful; if you have children or want to eat downstairs before leaving, dining inside is more manageable. The official website also mentions the Saito Cafe Kanda branch, a 1-minute walk away, but it’s closed on holidays and opens later on Saturdays, so it can’t be considered a daily breakfast alternative. Those who choose not to have breakfast should check the opening hours by week.

The laundry experience for those staying five nights differs from the experience for those staying only one night.
A review dated May 3, 2026, describing a 6-day, 5-night stay, stated that the air conditioning and hot water were satisfactory, but there were only two washing machines. This is based on a confirmed experience of staying for an extended period, but official verification of the current status, number of machines, and usage fees is still lacking. Those staying for extended periods should inquire beforehand about the availability of the laundry facilities and avoid concentrating their laundry on the last night of their trip.
This review included 10 original Trip reviews, published between January 15th and September 2nd, 2026, totaling 445 pages. The feedback from August 14th regarding soundproofing in twin rooms and September 2nd regarding low-setting air conditioning affecting sleep in single rooms, stemming from different noise sources, cannot be considered as repeated occurrences of the same defect. The August 13th feedback regarding hair cleanliness in single rooms was not repeated in the sample; multiple positive cleanliness reviews do not necessarily indicate improvement.
I would categorize this as a accommodation for one or two people who primarily use the JR train, go out daily, and value nearby restaurants and supplies. Its convenience makes it worth considering for extended stays, but room size, laundry facilities, and quietness requirements should be confirmed first. Those who prefer a large living room or a complete family-style setup should look for a more suitable space elsewhere.
On May 3, 2026, a traveler who explicitly stated they would be staying six days and five nights and complained about the two washing machines will be assigned to a small double room; on September 2, a traveler sensitive to the noise of the air conditioner on a low setting will be assigned to a single room. I will handle the laundry schedule and sleep needs separately. For the former, I will first inquire about the equipment and its idle time; for the latter, I will first inquire about the air conditioner settings in the room, so as not to combine multiple pieces of evidence from different noise sources into the same malfunction.
