Residence & Stay Hanzoumon: Apartment, Kitchen, Stairs and Self Check-in
Residence & Stay Hanzoumon
An apartment rather than a serviced hotel
Residence & Stay Hanzoumon is potentially useful for travelers who want a kitchen and a washer/dryer over several nights, but the arrangement differs from an ordinary business hotel. Trip describes a cooktop, microwave, rice cooker and washing facilities. The property lacks a verified standalone operator website in the source material, so I would confirm the actual rental unit and equipment before making plans. A family review reported steep spiral stairs and no elevator, which matters far more than the number of beds when arriving with children or heavy bags.
Verify the address and the stairs
The official Chiyoda lodging register through September 2026 includes Residence & Stay Hanzoumon at 1-9-10 Hirakawacho, which matches the Trip address. It does not identify the precise rental apartment or operator. Trip puts Hanzomon Station around 0.34 km away, but that is not a verified platform-to-door accessible walking route. An elevator inside Hanzomon Station cannot guarantee an elevator inside the residence. I would ask for the booked floor, the whole entrance and spiral-stair route in photographs, and instructions for baggage assistance.
Two identically named units, different bed counts
The two Trip cards both use a name equivalent to ‘Comfort One-Bedroom Apartment’, but one lists two single beds and one double, while the other lists two singles and two doubles. These are not necessarily the same apartment. Separate marketplace listings mention units 301, 401 and 501, yet no evidence matches these numbers to a specific Trip bed configuration. Images display tables, sofas, kitchen counters and sleeping spaces, but the numbers near photographs do not establish floor area. Maximum legal occupancy, individual bed widths, bathroom count and the room actually reserved must be confirmed.
Self check-in and meals
Trip lists check-in from 16:00 to 23:00 and check-out before 10:00, with a requirement to contact the accommodation for an entry code. Do not assume a 24-hour staffed reception or guaranteed early baggage storage. The source found no verified breakfast service or add-on price, so I would plan to prepare a meal in the apartment or eat out, after checking that the actual kitchen has the cookware and tableware I need. For a late flight, save access instructions and a working contact number offline.
Two reviews do not settle the experience
Only two original imported Trip review texts were readable in the source, dated May 5 and July 21, 2026, despite a larger displayed total. The May family described difficulty finding the property, narrow spiral stairs, no lift, upstairs noise and a place looking less new than photos. The July traveler found it clean, quiet and well situated. Both experiences matter; neither proves a universal issue or a repair. I would consider a longer stay for people who can carry their own bags and want kitchen and laundry use, but not promise convenience for strollers or travelers who require lifts.
