NOHGA Hotel Akihabara Tokyo: Music, Pizzeria and Room Sizes
NOHGA HOTEL AKIHABARA TOKYO
If you appreciate hotels with their own unique music, design, and dining style, I would compare NOHGA HOTEL AKIHABARA TOKYO to typical business hotels near train stations. Its rooms have sound systems, and there’s a Pizza Zipper & Bar NOHGA downstairs, making it suitable for those who want to spend time eating and listening to music after exploring Akihabara. However, if you’re looking for a hotel where you can get directly from the station, its walking distance isn’t the shortest.

Why would I choose NOHGA?
- Advantages: The guest rooms have distinctive audio systems, and the deluxe rooms have different brands depending on the room; breakfast offers a choice of egg dishes with side dishes; JR Akihabara and Suehirocho stations are both accessible.
- Limitations: The basic Queen room is 18 square meters; those with large luggage still need to choose a room; the restaurant in the complex has music and a bar atmosphere, which may not suit everyone; there have been some complaints about the smell in the open kitchen for breakfast and the small gym.
The address of this hotel is 3-10-11 Sotokanda, verified on 2026-10-23 according to the official room and restaurant pages. The "I would choose" section in this article is for information comparison and does not represent the actual stay experience. Source 1 Source 2
When taking public transportation, choose the JR or Ginza Line first, and don’t use the elevator with the nearest exit.
Official general routes: Approximately 6 minutes from the North Exit of JR Akihabara Station (Denki-gai); approximately 5 minutes from Exit 3 of Suehirocho Station on the Ginza Line (passengers arriving from the Asakusa direction should pay attention to the exit direction); approximately 10 minutes from Exit 2 of Akihabara Station on the Hibiya Line. See official transportation information for details. Source 1
For passengers with luggage, the elevator at JR Akihabara Station can be used to reach the Central Ticket Center, and then the ground-level route can be taken. The accessibility data from the Transportation Ecosystem Mobility Foundation confirms that the Central Ticket Center can be accessed by elevator, and also explains that the various ground-level ticket centers can be moved to connect transfer points. However, this time there is no separate time estimate from the Central Ticket Center to the hotel, and it is not confirmed that Exit 3 of Suehirocho is the elevator exit, so "the next 5 minutes" cannot be marked as the elevator route. If your main itinerary is in Akihabara Electric Town and the Kanda area, you can stroll along this route and do some shopping. If you need to move between hotels every day or rush in and out of JR stations, hotels near the station exits may be more suitable.

Room type selection: Differences between Queen, King and Deluxe rooms
| Official room type | Area / Bed | Choose direction |
|---|---|---|
| Official Room Type: Queen | Area/Bed: 18㎡, 160×200cm bed | Choose your travel direction: Two people traveling light or one person staying alone. |
| Official Room Type: King | Area/Bed: 21㎡, 180×200cm bed | Choosing a direction: Wanting a wider shared bed and more space. |
| Official Room Type: Twin | Area/Beds: 21㎡, Twin Beds | Choose a direction for friends or family members who need to sleep separately. |
| Official room types: Deluxe King / Deluxe Twin | Area/Beds: 35㎡; Deluxe Twin Beds: Two 120×200cm beds | Choose a traveler if they have a lot of large luggage, spend a lot of time in the room, or are considering a third person. |
For a third person in a deluxe twin room, the sofa needs to be converted into a bed. The official explanation states there is an additional charge; the sofa should not be used as a free third bed. The audio system brand in some deluxe rooms varies depending on the room number. If you are a music enthusiast, you can inquire about specific configurations beforehand, but do not assume that a particular room will be provided.
On December 28, 2025, two people commented that if you have large luggage, choose the Deluxe room. In September 2026, someone else said that the regular rooms are not big but clean. I would interpret this as highlighting the importance of room type selection, rather than the fact that the entire hotel has a consistently spacious layout.
On February 5, 2026, a guest who booked a new "Twin Room (with Shower)" noted that the room was a bit small for two people; a guest in the same room type on September 9th found it very clean and stayed an extra night. If we both have large suitcases, we will look at these feedbacks together with the Deluxe suggestions from a guest in a Superior Double Room on December 28, 2025: separating the beds does not mean the floor is wider; you should first check the flow of movement after unpacking and using the third bed.
The photo of the twin room taken on February 5, 2026, shows the long aisle in front of the two beds, while the photo of the superior double room taken on December 28 shows the sofa, small table, and bedside sockets. I will use these to determine the room’s primary use: wanting to sit down and listen to music versus needing to unfold a large suitcase at the same time are different spatial needs, and I still need to check the actual room type.

Breakfast is best enjoyed slowly; there’s no need to order extra food every day just because a restaurant looks nice.
Official breakfast hours are 7:00 to 10:00, with last order at 9:30. Options include Eggs Benedict, Eggs Omelette, and Italian wood-fired focaccia. The current text page does not provide a clear and verifiable price for breakfast purchased separately; therefore, this article does not use the old PDF price list, nor does it consider a single payment as the daily price. If you choose the breakfast-only option, please confirm with the hotel before booking whether additional breakfast is available and the arrangements for the day.
I’ll save breakfast for mornings without early morning shifts; if I want to eat different breakfasts every day, choosing no breakfast option offers more flexibility. Guests praised the food on March 31st and September 9th, 2026, while someone else thought the main course was just average on December 23rd, 2025; and on December 28th, 2025, they felt the open kitchen smelled too strong. Taste and smell are different issues and cannot be simply summarized as delicious or bad.
A photo of a guest’s breakfast taken on March 31, 2026, shows the main course served with a large piece of bread. Another photo of two other main courses taken on December 23, 2025, shows the same table. If I wanted to eat slowly inside the hotel, I would choose between egg dishes and focaccia. The two guests’ opinions on taste differed, and we cannot guarantee everyone will like it just because the presentation is perfect.

Short-stay experience style, stay longer and see changes in laundry and dining options
For a night or two, this place can be a unique stop on your Akihabara itinerary; for longer stays, the room size and laundry options are worth considering. The official website lists a paid laundry service, and the original review from August 4, 2026, confirms its convenience; however, this doesn’t mean there’s a coin-operated laundry room available at any time, so those who want to do their own laundry should check beforehand.
This review consisted of 10 original Trip reviews published between December 2025 and September 2026. The friendliness of the staff, breakfast, and location received repeated positive feedback. On September 15th, a guest in a superior double room complained about the small gym and limited facilities; on December 28th, a guest in a similar room complained about the lack of amenities and the smell from the open kitchen at breakfast. These are currently isolated incidents and do not represent a recurring issue over several months. There were reports of twin rooms and superior double rooms feeling cramped on different dates; this should be addressed by the actual room selection process.
I would recommend this to couples who want to experience both Akihabara and its music and dining atmosphere; those who only want the shortest distance from the station and don’t have time to eat can focus their budget on a closer station or a larger room.
On August 4, 2026, the guests who will definitely have their laundry sent will be guests staying in a "Deluxe King Room + Extra Bed" room. This is supported by actual experience with paid laundry services. If my consecutive stay plan relies on me to do my own laundry, I will still ask if there are self-service facilities. I cannot simply regard the convenience of laundry services as a coin-operated laundry room.
