KKR Hotel Tokyo: Palace Views, Takebashi Exit and Facade Construction
KKR Hotel Tokyo
Facade work matters for Palace views
KKR Hotel Tokyo appeals to travelers exploring the Imperial Palace and Takebashi, especially if a Palace-view room is a priority. An official notice dated October 20, 2026 schedules external-wall work at the Takebashi Joint Building from November 1, 2026 through November 30, 2028. Workers may pass the windows, and noise and vibration may affect rooms. I would ask how my specific window and daytime rest will be affected before paying for a view upgrade.
Takebashi Exit 3b and elevators
The hotel connects near Takebashi Station Exit 3b, but a station connection does not prove a step-free platform-to-room path. Tokyo Metro’s readable equipment details identify an elevator near Exit 2 from the Otemachi-side gates. Another summary mentioned Exit 3a, which did not match the official text, so neither 3a nor 3b can be advertised as a verified elevator route. The street walk from the Exit 2 elevator was not measured. For large cases, request the latest accessible route from the hotel.
Room areas versus view categories
Official areas are Regular Single 14.0 m², Deluxe Single 16.8–19.2 m², Regular Twin 21.7 m², Palace View Twin 19.2 m², and Deluxe Twin 26.6 m². The Palace View Twin is actually smaller than the regular Twin, so scenery and room size are separate choices. Guest photographs show the palace moat and window seating, but most precede the announced construction. A three-person room must be checked for the additional bed and remaining luggage space.
Early breakfast on floor twelve
Fuyou serves a Japanese-and-Western buffet from 06:45 to 09:00. October 2026 reference pricing for guests was ¥3,000 per adult and ¥1,500 for ages four to twelve. Trip’s 07:00 opening differs from the hotel’s official 06:45. An early 2026 guest liked breakfast but mentioned dishes being cleared at nine, so arriving near closing might reduce choice. Check whether the booking already includes breakfast and whether an add-on is offered.
Storage and dated guest reports
A June 2026 group reported that staff refused temporary and overnight luggage storage between two stays. This is one concrete incident, not proof every bag is refused. For a Kyoto or Hakone overnight detour I would request written confirmation in advance. A guest staying a week in April 2025 complained about bedding and sound from adjoining rooms; more recent comfort reports were from other room categories and do not prove a repair. The planned exterior work is especially important for anyone who will nap during the day or prioritize a quiet palace-facing room.
