Hotel Resol Akihabara: 14 m² Rooms, Under-Bed Storage and Breakfast
Hotel Resol Akihabara
The Akihabara Resol Hotel is suitable for travelers who want to be close to Akihabara and prefer well-organized and comfortable rooms. I would first confirm that I went to the correct branch, and then compare the 14㎡ Moderate and the 17㎡ Twin Rooms. There is another hotel nearby with a similar name, HOTEL RESOL STAY AKIHABARA, but the breakfast, address, and room types cannot be used interchangeably.

Key considerations for choosing this hotel
- Advantages: According to the official website, it is 3 minutes from the JR Chuo Expressway Exit and 1 minute from the Iwamotocho A2 Exit, making it convenient to enter and exit Akihabara.
- Advantages: The Moderate room type has been officially confirmed to have under-bed storage available throughout the room starting in 2025, making it easier to keep walkways clear when luggage can be folded up.
- Limitations: 14 square meters is still a compact room; whether the bed can fit under the floor or fully open on the floor are different issues.
- Limitations: Guests may have differing opinions on the sense of space, and the cleaning methods for consecutive stays should be understood beforehand.
Our store address is 2-25-12 Kanda-Suda-cho; not RESOL STAY. Original reviews on August 18th and September 30th, 2026, both warned that the branch is easy to get lost, so upon arrival, checking the address and only entering the brand name is helpful. See our official directions page. Source 1
Two very close exits; elevator route still needs to be completed.
| starting point | Official average walking time |
|---|---|
| Starting point: JR Akihabara Central Exit | The official walking time is 3 minutes. |
| Starting point: Hibiya Line, Akihabara Exit 5 | The official walking time is 2 minutes. |
| Starting point: Toei Iwamoto-cho A2 Suda-cho north exit | The official walking time is 1 minute. |
The above information is for the hotel and is not a verified no-step luggage route. We have reviewed the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation’s information for Iwamotocho Station and confirmed the presence of both ground-level and platform elevators, but the continuous route from the ground-level elevator exit to the hotel has not yet been confirmed. The elevator exit name, distance, and time are pending confirmation. Please do not assume that the 1 minute on A2 corresponds to the 1 minute with an elevator.
The original estimates ranged from 5 to 8 minutes for walking time, which may not contradict the official figures, as getting off the train, finding your way, and crossing bridges might be included in the calculation. If you have a lot of luggage, save the hotel address and entrance information beforehand to avoid ending up at another resort and having to turn back.

Whether to choose 14㎡ or 17㎡ depends on your needs for under-bed storage and separate beds.
| Official room type | area | Bed width and number of beds | Comparison direction |
|---|---|---|---|
| Official Room Type: Moderet/モダレット | Area 14㎡ | Bed width and number of beds: 140cm x 1 bed | Comparison directions: One person or willing to share a bed; storage space under the bed can be utilized. |
| Official Room Type: Twin | Area 17㎡ | Bed width and number of beds: 100cm x 2 beds | Comparison direction: Two people who don’t want to share a bed traveling together |
The official room type page supports the above specifications and under-bed storage as of 2025; however, it does not list the thickness of the suitcases that can be stored, and this article does not guarantee that every type of large suitcase can be accommodated. Trip also offers a 15㎡ spacious double room, but the same name is not listed on this official page. Please confirm the correspondence with the hotel, and do not confuse it with the 14㎡ room. Source 1
On March 4, 2026, someone said the suitcase couldn’t be fully unfolded, while on February 11 and August 18, it seemed like two suitcases could fit or the large suitcase could be opened. The new data retains the room type, but the suitcase dimensions are still incomplete; even among medium-sized double rooms, there are different spatial experiences, so a vote cannot determine "definitely spacious." Since two people will be staying for a long time and doing a lot of shopping, I will prioritize comparing the 17㎡ rooms and clarify the hallway layout.
After obtaining the room types, on February 11th, a positive review stated that "two suitcases can be placed" came from a twin room; on March 4th, a medium double room was unable to fully open the suitcases on the floor; and on August 18th, there were positive reports that a large suitcase could be opened in the medium double room. I will use the first two as clues for comparing room types, but I also reserve the possibility that there are still differences in suitcase size and usage habits within the same room type, and I cannot use a single photo of a large suitcase to guarantee accessibility for everyone.
The photos of the twin room clearly show the relative positions of the sofa, table, and two beds. The bathroom features a separate round sink and bathtub in the same area. If two people were staying together, I would first consider whether the table and chairs would still be usable after storing luggage under the bed. The photos don’t show the clear height under the bed, so they don’t claim that all boxes can fit.

Breakfast is on the second floor, unlike at RESOL STAY.
The Cantina Due restaurant on the second floor offers a buffet breakfast with approximately 30 items, officially open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, with last order at 9:30 AM. The price is 2,000 yen (tax included) for adults and free for preschool children (verified as of October 23, 2026). See the restaurant’s official page. Source 1
The original review on February 9, 2026, stated that the guest liked the breakfast, which was a taste-based feedback; however, there weren’t enough independent samples to compare the menu rotation for consecutive stays. If departing before 7:00 AM, breakfast is not fully utilized; if you want to sit down and have a full meal inside the hotel, you can compare the cost of this option with the option without breakfast. The original review repeatedly mentioned nearby restaurants and the lobby café; the latter is not a substitute for breakfast, nor does it mean that all drinks are available all day.

The connection between cleaning and noise should be understood according to the actual situation.
This review includes 10 additional Trip reviews, published between December 28, 2025 and October 22, 2026, totaling 288 pages. Reviews from March 13 and February 2 were confirmed to be clean, while the review from May 7 indicated that the room is not thoroughly cleaned every day and towels are changed. The current cleaning schedule has not yet been verified using the official FAQ, so before staying for an extended period, it is recommended to ask "which night will the room be cleaned" rather than simply asking if it has been cleaned at all.
No repeated negative reviews regarding soundproofing appeared within the sample; the entrance/branch identification and room compactness warrant further attention beforehand. A personal street encounter on September 30th was not generalized into a conclusion about the area’s security. Short stays are mainly for shopping and transfers in Akihabara, making the location very practical; for extended stays, if daily packing, laundry, and prolonged sitting in the room are required, the storage, laundry facilities, and cleaning methods should be carefully checked.
I would recommend this to solo or double travelers who have already decided to stay in Akihabara and want to carefully consider room type and breakfast options. Choosing the right branch first, and then checking if the bed and luggage can coexist, is more helpful than just relying on "closeness to Akihabara Station".
The October 22nd twin room review praised the hairdryer and mentioned that straighteners and curling irons could be borrowed, which complements the description of the amenities available for borrowing in the March 4th medium double room review. This is useful for people who want to pack light, but the availability and quantity of amenities cannot be guaranteed by positive reviews. I would consider it a service that can be asked about, rather than bringing absolutely no essential items because of it.
