Hotel Niwa Tokyo: Suidobashi Access, Room Sizes and Garden Breakfast

Hotel Niwa Tokyo

Why stay at Hotel Niwa?

Hotel Niwa Tokyo works especially well if I am visiting Tokyo Dome or Suidobashi and want somewhere with a Japanese garden atmosphere and places to relax outside my room. The hotel has lounges, a laundry corner and an exercise room. But the smallest Queen and Twin rooms are both only 18 m²: a lovely garden does not provide extra space for two large suitcases in the bedroom. I would look at the room size before choosing the appearance of the hotel.

JR East Exit and subway accessibility

The official access guide gives about four minutes from JR Suidobashi East Exit, five minutes from Toei Mita Line Suidobashi A1 and eight minutes from Jimbocho A5. JR East’s station plan confirms platform lifts on the East Exit side, although the four-minute walk begins at the surface exit. The underground A1 route should not automatically be treated as an accessible elevator route; a January guest suggested A2, but the full station-to-door path was not verified. With luggage I would use a confirmed lift and then check the street crossings.

18, 24, 30 and 36 m² rooms

The official Queen and Twin are each 18 m², with one 160 cm bed or two 95 cm beds. Superior King/Twin increases to 24 m² with a 184 cm king or two 105 cm beds; Deluxe Twin is 30 m² with two 120 cm beds, and Premium/Signature Twin is 36 m² with two 120 cm beds. A Deluxe balcony feature is not an invitation to walk out onto it: the hotel says guest access is restricted. Some Premium and Signature bathrooms differ in wooden bath or separate shower arrangement. I would confirm the exact category rather than use a suite photograph as a standard-room guide.

Breakfast at Dining Lieu

The hotel’s current breakfast page lists Dining Lieu from 07:00 to 10:30, with last orders at 10:00 and a ¥4,000 tax-included reference price in October 2026. Trip showed an earlier finish, so I would use the official schedule. An August guest remembered Japanese and Western options, but the more recent hotel wording emphasized a Western buffet; the old Japanese tray photograph is not proof the same choice is offered every morning. I would choose breakfast when I have time to enjoy the courtyard rather than for an early train before seven.

Reviews and length of stay

Guest accounts from January and February 2026 mention compact standard rooms, while an April guest in a Superior Double found enough room for two suitcases. A 28-inch bag reportedly could not be fully opened in an entry Queen. One October Standard Twin guest was unhappy about a room-assignment delay; the guest speculated about unfair treatment, but the saved information cannot verify a discriminatory policy. For a one-night show I would prioritize return travel and sleep; for a week-long stay I would check the 24 m² and larger rooms, workspace and the cashless laundry setup on the third floor.
