Hotel New Otani Tokyo The Main: Room Types, Garden and Breakfast

The Main is not the Garden Tower or Executive House Zen

Hotel New Otani Tokyo The Main, at 4-1 Kioicho, Chiyoda-ku, suits a stay where time in the hotel matters: garden walks, several restaurants and room choices for couples or families. The same complex has Garden Tower and Executive House Zen, but rooms, lounge eligibility and booking packages are not interchangeable. Staying in The Main does not automatically include Zen lounge privileges. I would first confirm the building, then the exact bed arrangement, rather than choose by the New Otani name alone.

Station access includes a big hotel complex

Official walking estimates: Akasaka-mitsuke Station’s D Exit around three minutes, Nagatacho Exit 7 around three minutes, Kojimachi Exit 2 about six minutes and Yotsuya roughly eight minutes. The hotel specifically warns of many stairs on the Nagatacho route and favors Akasaka-mitsuke for wheelchairs or strollers. The full elevator route to the Main’s lobby has not been verified, and the three-minute estimate does not include finding the reception desk and your room. I would save the Main entrance and request a practical route for a large suitcase or elderly companion.

Room sizes, triple beds and suites

The official Main Standard categories are 36 m². A standard double has a 200 cm-wide bed, while a Twin has two 110 cm beds; the three-person configuration uses an extra 110 cm bed and a maximum occupancy of three. Deluxe options include 45 and 50 m² configurations, while Shin-Edo covers a separate range of rooms and suites with different bathroom finishes. Actual bed count and bathroom should match the booked category. An October 2026 guest posted photos after receiving a room upgrade; those are not guaranteed Standard-room pictures. A May guest said their bathroom required stepping into the bathtub, relevant for travelers who have difficulty with that movement.

Breakfast depends on your package

The hotel’s breakfast guide lists multiple choices: SATSUKI from 07:00–10:00 at an adult reference ¥8,500 plus service charge; Garden Lounge from 06:30–10:00 at ¥6,000 plus service charge; and Kioi Nadaman Japanese breakfast from 07:00–10:00 at ¥4,180 plus service charge. Room service and other venues may also be available. These are restaurant reference prices, not a single inclusive rate for all guests. Some October 2026 reviews mention three choices, others four, reflecting potentially different packages. Confirm where a particular breakfast voucher works and whether supplements are charged.

Guest feedback and longer stays

The source examined ten Trip.com guest posts from May to October 2026 out of 435 then displayed. Guests generally liked the service, garden and dining, though the large property can require extra walking or waiting. A July guest described confusion over building and lounge benefits; an October guest noted a small hygiene detail near a room gift. Those are individual experiences, not a property-wide diagnosis. For a one-night stay I would deliberately leave time to explore the hotel; with family or older relatives for several nights, I would prioritize a suitable bathroom, room location, breakfast rights and confirmed arrangements for any extra bed.
