Hotel Metropolitan Edmont Tokyo: Main Building vs East Wing Family Rooms

Hotel Metropolitan Edmont Tokyo

The building determines how your family fits

Hotel Metropolitan Edmont Tokyo is a practical choice for families planning Tokyo Dome events, Iidabashi or Suidobashi activities, but room layouts differ sharply between the Main building and East Wing. The hotel is at 3-10-8 Iidabashi. A compact 18 m² Main Edmont Standard and a 37 m² East Wing Family room cannot be described with the same word ‘spacious’. I would confirm the wing, floor area and bed arrangements for every room on a group booking, especially if children are joining.

Station options and arrival route

The hotel’s guide gives about five minutes from JR Iidabashi East Exit or JR Suidobashi West Exit, and two minutes from Tozai Line Iidabashi A5. That two-minute walk starts at the subway exit, not every connecting subway platform; a verified elevator exit-to-hotel route was not obtained. If arriving with luggage, older relatives or a stroller, ask station staff for the correct lifts. For a Dome event, either station may work, but allow time for crowds after a performance.

Room choices by wing

Main Edmont Standard is 18 m² with a 150 cm bed; Main Superior Double/Twin is 26 m², with a 180 cm king alternative or twin beds. East Wing Double/Petite Twin is 21 m²; East Wing Twin is 28 m² with the option of an additional bed for three; East Wing Family is 37 m² and can accommodate up to five using extra beds. Maximum occupancy does not mean five fixed beds with space for five suitcases. An official notice says certain room names change from January 12, 2027, so I would compare wing, floor area and bedding rather than translated marketing names.

Buffet breakfast at BELTEMPO

The hotel lists an approximately sixty-item Japanese-and-Western buffet at BELTEMPO, 06:30–10:00. October 2026 reference prices were ¥3,200 for adults and ¥1,800 for children aged four to twelve; Trip showed a different child price, so I would use the hotel’s current age rules. Cooked egg dishes, baked breads and Japanese items are among the options, though the exact lineup changes. For families with time to sit down, breakfast can be convenient; for an early train before 06:30, it would be unused.

Reviews demonstrate the room-type difference

Ten original reviews from June–October 2026 include two Main Standard guests who could not open their suitcases comfortably, while an East Wing Family guest praised a three-person stay. A June visitor mentioned construction noise and housekeeping problems, a single event that does not prove work is ongoing. One guest with two reserved rooms found the sizes different but did not supply every actual booking category. For a longer family stay I would select the East Wing bed arrangement in advance, not expect an upgrade at arrival.
