Belken Hotel Kanda: Awajicho Access and Twin A vs Twin B Rooms

Belken Hotel Kanda

A good metro base, not the same as JR access

Belken Hotel Kanda makes sense if my itinerary uses Awajicho, Ogawamachi and Shin-Ochanomizu subway stations. The hotel quotes roughly one to three minutes to Awajicho, three minutes to Ogawamachi and five minutes to Shin-Ochanomizu; different official sections vary slightly. The JR Kanda and Akihabara approaches are longer, around seven to eight minutes. With luggage I would not assume the shortest metro route is the best one.

Elevators depend on the platform

Official Tokyo Metro accessibility information describes an Awajicho elevator from the platform toward Ikebukuro via the Ogawamachi gates to Exit A5, while the opposite platform toward Ogikubo uses a dedicated elevator exit via the Sudacho-side gates. The hotel-to-street walking distance from either lift was not verified. Some guests called the station inaccessible, while others found a lift in the same direction. The operator’s platform-specific description is more useful than either generalization.

Six room layouts, including two different twins

The official Single is 12.3 m² with a 122 cm bed; Belken Single also 12.3 m² but a 139 cm bed. Belken Double is 14.02 m² and Double is 15.86 m², both with 163 cm beds. Twin A is 18.52 m² with two 110 cm beds, while Twin B is 21.7 m² with two 122 cm beds and a microbubble bathtub listed by the hotel. I would not choose Twin B merely by its name, but it has more area and wider beds. Bed storage and clearance for two open suitcases remain unmeasured.

Breakfast and everyday facilities

The verified hotel material did not specify a current breakfast service, price or opening hours, so I would plan on buying food nearby or eating out. Complimentary coffee mentioned by guests should not be confused with a full breakfast. The hotel lists Wi-Fi, fridge, kettle and bathroom facilities; guest reports describe bath salts, luggage storage and laundry, but availability and machine counts should be checked. Trip gave standard check-in 15:00 and checkout 11:00.

Reviews and length of stay

The article used ten original Trip reviews dated February–October 2026 out of 652 displayed at the time. Solo guests in July and October were happy with compact Single rooms; a July Twin A guest found the room small but practical. A May Belken Double guest mentioned toilet odor, while an August Double guest praised cleanliness and showers. These individual room reports cannot establish a repeated fault or verified remedy. I would take a small Single for a short metro-based visit, and compare Twin A with Twin B for a two-person longer stay.
