Ascott Marunouchi Tokyo: 38–113 m² Apartments, Kitchen Facilities and Low-Frequency Noise
Ascott Marunouchi Tokyo
Ascott Marunouchi Tokyo is ideal for those who want to bring their lifestyle into their stay: families staying together, or those who want to prepare simple meals or change their clothes themselves will make better use of the apartment-style amenities than just sleeping one night a day. However, “Otemachi Apartments” does not mean that every room has the same kitchen and laundry facilities, nor does it guarantee views of the Imperial Palace or a quiet environment; the low-frequency noise was repeatedly mentioned in different original reviews, which is worth noting separately.

Rather than hotel star ratings, we should compare the amenities and lifestyle features.
- advantage:Official room types range from a 38㎡ studio to multi-bedroom configurations, allowing families to choose according to sleeping zones.
- advantage:Officials say most units have complete kitchens and washing and drying facilities, making them suitable for extended stays.
- limit:“Most” does not mean all. The facilities vary between room types, and you cannot guarantee that there will be a washing machine just by looking at the brand.
- limit:The reception area on the 22nd floor and the elevator transfer were mentioned in the original review; there were also discrepancies in noise, view, and the restaurant’s dining experience.
The official address is 1-1-1 Otemachi. Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. This article is based on the official room types and Trip reviews available at Ascott Marunouchi Tokyo. I have not stayed there or cooked there myself.Official Hotel Page
The underground station is very large. C6 was a clue from the original assessment, not the route approved this time.
The original review dated September 2, 2026, mentioned that the apartment is accessible by escalator or elevator near Otemachi C6, with the reception on the 22nd floor; the review dated August 27 stated that one must go to the 22nd floor first and then transfer to an elevator to get in and out. This helps readers understand the sense of movement in a high-rise apartment, but…Official walking distances and times from general exits to stores have not been obtained, and the complete elevator route for C6 has not been verified by the operator. It is not permissible to claim that there is direct access from the platform to guest rooms.
The official location subpage I visited mainly contained navigation and a list of pictures; no information on the available C6 route was provided. When dragging luggage or pushing a stroller, I would first ask the hotel for directions to available entrances and elevators, and then keep separate notes for the ground floor entrance, the 22nd-floor reception, and the room elevator. The original review stated that Tokyo Station is about a 10-minute walk away, but that’s just my personal estimate; the underground connection between Otemachi and Tokyo Station doesn’t mean all starting points are close.
The attached image in the comment from August 25th clearly shows “C6a” and the elevator signs for the Ascott and Otemachi Park Buildings, providing more specific entrance identification clues than the general “C6”. If I were carrying luggage, I would save this sign along with the hotel address; however, it only proves the equipment guidance in the photo and cannot replace the complete, stepless route from each platform to the entrance and confirmation of the day’s operation.

The range of room types is quite wide; families should first decide whether they need a separate bedroom.
| Official room type | area | Capacity range |
|---|---|---|
| Studio/Studio Deluxe/Deluxe Twin | 38㎡ | 2 people |
| One-Bedroom Deluxe | 54㎡ | 2 people |
| One-Bedroom Executive | 76㎡ | Two people, a third person will be charged separately. |
| Two-Bedroom Room with Tatami | 91㎡ | 4 people, 5 people will be charged separately. |
| Two-Bedroom Deluxe/Executive | 105/113㎡ | 4 people, 5 people will be charged separately. |
Official apartment room type pageThe above area and capacity are supported, but bed width and extra bed placement still need to be confirmed for each room type. A 38㎡ room offers significantly more space for one or two people than a typical business room, but the lack of a separate bedroom may affect children sleeping first and adults’ activities later; a 54 or 76㎡ room with one bedroom is more worthwhile for comparing room layout needs.
The official website states that most units are equipped with kitchens, laundry, and dryer facilities, and clearly indicates that the facilities vary depending on the room type. On August 27, 2026, it was mentioned that guests with two bathrooms were listed as having a one-bedroom executive room, while on September 29, it was stated that rooms with a fully equipped kitchen were listed as having a one-bedroom king-size bed room. Facilities cannot be shared between different room types, and it is not guaranteed that every 38㎡ studio apartment will be identical. If choosing an apartment for laundry and meal preparation, first confirm the stove, tableware, washing and drying methods, and cleaning services; do not rely solely on an “apartment” label as a complete list of facilities.
The newly added room type category makes low-frequency noise more specific: both the July 24th and September 18th listings are for “two-bedroom rooms with tatami”. This is more informative than simply stating that all apartments are noisy; if I were to book this type of room, I would first ask about the location and orientation of the tatami sleeping area and whether noise can be controlled, rather than diagnosing guests’ guesses as equipment malfunctions.
On August 27th, there was a return for a room with two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a washing machine, which is now available in a one-bedroom executive room; on September 29th, a room with a fully equipped kitchen will be available in a one-bedroom king-size room. For me, this provides specific items that can be inquired about for each room type, but it does not replace the official statement that the facilities vary depending on the room type; choosing a 38㎡ Studio still requires checking the number of bathrooms and the washing and drying configuration separately.
The apartment photos show the kitchen countertop, dish drawers, washing machine, separate work area, and separate bathroom in great detail. If I were to choose this place for a family stay, I would check every detail based on the room type I book, rather than just asking if there is a kitchen. People who want to continue moving around after the children go to sleep should also confirm whether the bedroom door can be closed and the location of the living area.

Breakfast is on the 22nd floor. Breakfast included and meals provided on the day of occupancy are subject to confirmation based on the selected plan.
It has been officially confirmed that breakfast is served on the 22nd floor of TRIPLE ONE; however, breakfast is not automatically included in all accommodation packages. On October 23, 2026, I checked the official website’s dining page and obtained the meal service hours and reference prices (including tax) for TRIPLE ONE; whether breakfast is included and the actual stay date should still be confirmed with the hotel according to the booking package.
The original review dated September 18, 2026, expressed strong dissatisfaction with the experience of closing the restaurant near the end of the day, describing a discrepancy between the 10:30 PM closing time and the 10:00 AM closing time. This was a specific service incident and does not mean that the hotel has a fixed 9:55 AM time limit for only five minutes for dining. A more practical approach would be to directly ask about the last entry time, the deadline for food collection, and the time when seating is available, and to avoid treating the last half hour as a complete slow breakfast.
If you’re staying consecutively and intend to use the kitchen, you can remain flexible with the breakfast no-breakfast option. If you’re bringing family and want to sit down for breakfast together, confirm the time slots and children’s fees before comparing the price difference. The original review mentioned that there are fewer restaurants in the commercial area on weekend evenings, but this wasn’t verified store by store, so it cannot be assumed that every nearby store is open on weekends. You can arrange to do your shopping during the day when you pass by.

There are two aspects to low-frequency noise; it’s not true that “tall buildings are always quiet.”
This review consisted of 10 original Trip reviews, dated July 24 to September 29, 2026, totaling 311 pages. Both the July 24 and September 18 reviews mentioned low-frequency noise at night; the former stated it affected the tatami room. Whether the source was the air conditioner unit was unverified and cannot be considered a diagnosed equipment malfunction. However, the similar noise appeared in two separate reviews, providing a more specific reference for light sleepers than a single, general negative review.
On August 11th, there were comments regarding kitchen cleanliness and a fishy smell. Other recent reviews affirmed cleanliness, so it cannot be said that the entire restaurant is clean or dirty; there is no official evidence that the issues have been resolved. Those who are sensitive to noise can inquire beforehand about different orientations, room locations, and room change options, but expressing preferences is not a guarantee.
For short stays involving only transferring to the Shinkansen, consider the time spent at higher floors and changing elevators. For family stays, laundry facilities, and separate living areas, apartment-style designs are more suitable. If your priority is access to a lively restaurant area upon returning to the hotel each night, or a quiet environment free of low-frequency noise, I would reserve my choice until I have more specific room details.
