TOKYO / CHIYODA
APA Hotel PRIDE Akasaka Kokkaigijidomae: Public Bath, Room Sizes and Metro Access
APA Hotel PRIDE Akasaka Kokkaigijidomae
For a Tokyo itinerary concentrated around Akasaka, Kasumigaseki or Toranomon, I would compare APA Hotel PRIDE Akasaka Kokkaigijidomae if returning to a public bath each evening sounds appealing. Metro access, a seventeenth-floor bath and in-house breakfast are the highlights. The PRIDE label does not mean every guestroom is roomy: standard single and double options remain 11 m².

Clear advantages, but pay attention to floor area
- Reasons to choose it: roughly one minute from Station Exit 5 once above ground, complimentary guest access to the public bath with an outdoor pool, and a Japanese-Western breakfast buffet.
- Points to consider: the standard rooms are tight for two adults with suitcases; the walk through the station is longer than the exit-to-hotel estimate; views depend on the reserved room and its orientation.
Address: 2-10-2 Nagatacho, Chiyoda-ku. Standard check-in is 15:00 and check-out 10:00. The indoor bath uses artificial mineral water made with Komeiseki stones; it is not a natural hot spring. Official information checked on October 23, 2026. Source 1
The closest exit does not mean a one-minute journey from the train
Official directions use Exit 5 of Kokkai-gijidomae / Tameike-sanno Station; once at street level, the hotel is about a minute to the right. Passengers from the Marunouchi Line may cross the Chiyoda Line passages, and Ginza Line riders may move through the Namboku Line area. Allow additional time inside the station, particularly for early departures.
A fully verified elevator path from the platform to a street exit and then to the hotel is not currently available in the source material. I would not label Exit 5 as step-free without evidence. Anyone needing an accessible route should check the station plan and hotel address together.
This location suits Akasaka and Kasumigaseki business or metro journeys toward Ginza and Tokyo Station. If I relied on JR trains every day, I would also compare a JR-adjacent hotel. One guest described walking around ten minutes from Akasaka-mitsuke, but that is a separate route.

Room comparison: upgrading may mean more floor space, not just a higher floor
| Official room | Area and bed size | Best fit |
|---|---|---|
| Single / Double | 11 m²; one 142 cm bed | Easier for a solo traveler; compact for two adults traveling light. |
| High-floor view Single / Double | 11 m²; one 142 cm bed | Pays for a higher room/view, not more usable floor area. |
| Twin | 15 m²; two 113 cm beds | Separate beds for travelers comfortable with tight space. |
| Deluxe Double | 21 m²; one 162 cm bed | Two people staying longer who want extra room. |
| Deluxe Twin | 32 m²; two 122 cm beds | Useful when luggage or space in the room matters more. |
I would decide whether I wanted separate beds or more space before choosing a higher floor. A January 2025 guest did not see the Tokyo Tower view they expected; a view category does not guarantee a specific landmark.
An August 2025 guestroom photo shows a narrow desk and chair close beside the bed, with a screen and amenities in the same area. That image lacks a confirmed room category, so it cannot describe every 11 m² layout. If two people need to work or eat in the room, I would ask about seating and desk space, not only bed width.

Should you add breakfast? Compare against your departure time
KIGI offers more than forty Japanese and Western buffet items. As checked on October 23, 2026, breakfast was 07:00–09:30; an adult reference price was JPY 2,300 when bought ahead or JPY 2,500 on the day, tax included. These are ordinary meal prices rather than the breakfast price difference on any particular room rate.
If I wanted to sit down to a full breakfast and was not in a hurry, I would consider adding it. Departures before 07:00, or a usual breakfast of just coffee, change that calculation. A guest in August 2025 praised the food and bright dining area; it is one person’s taste rather than a consensus.
The same August 2025 reviewer posted photographs of a divided plate with salad, eggs, meat and bread, plus a rice bowl. They help show the choice between Japanese and Western food, but do not prove the buffet is identical every day. During a longer stay, I would leave some mornings free for breakfast elsewhere.

Short trips, longer stays and the dates of negative reports
For a one- or two-night business trip, metro access and the bath may be sufficient. For multiple nights, check housekeeping: the hotel describes a fuller cleaning, including linen, once per three nights, while some other days require a cleaning request card before 09:00. Do not assume that all rooms receive a full automatic daily clean.
The saved source reviews include ten Trip posts dated between January 2025 and September 2026. Several praise the bath and transport. An air-vent cleaning complaint in July 2025 and an air-conditioning/shower fault report in August 2025 concern equipment in that period; a positive cleanliness report in September 2026 does not prove each earlier problem was repaired.
I would choose this hotel for a metro-based itinerary and a bath after returning. If two people want to spread out large suitcases over several nights, the 21 m² Deluxe Double or 32 m² Deluxe Twin is worth comparing before booking an 11 m² standard room.
Public-bath gallery photographs show divided washing stations and several showers, a different amenity from the ornate lobby. The images do not establish how crowded the bath will be at the time you visit.
