APA Hotel Akihabara Electric Town Exit: Rooms, Breakfast Options and Luggage
APA Hotel Akihabaraeki Denkigaiguchi
APA Hotel Akihabaraeki Denkigaiguchi puts Akihabara’s electronics shops within easy walking distance, but it is a separate branch from APA Akihabara Ekimae and APA Suehirocho Ekimae. Its standard rooms are only 11 m². For two people with large luggage or several nights to stay, I would compare the 22 m² Deluxe Twin rather than rely on the convenient address alone.
Getting there
Official directions say three minutes from JR Akihabara Electric Town Exit to 3-11-4 Sotokanda, Chiyoda-ku. This is after reaching street level and does not establish a fully step-free elevator route. An August 2026 guest described a long lift wait, so allow more time at busy periods. The route is useful for shopping, but store opening times and the route with a stroller need independent checks.
Room sizes and beds
Official sizes: Single 11 m² with a 120 cm bed, Semi Double 11 m² with a 120 cm bed, Double 11 m² with a 140 cm bed, and Deluxe Twin 22 m² with two 120 cm beds. Semi Double and Double offer different bed widths, not different floor areas. A guest in a smoking Double in October 2026 reported that their suitcase could not fit under the bed. This cannot be generalized to every nonsmoking room, but do not promise under-bed storage based on another APA branch. Check floor space and elevator needs before booking.
Breakfast options
There are two distinct breakfast arrangements. Curry Shokudo Kokoro Akihabara offers set meals, rice bowls or curry from 07:00 to 10:00 (last order 09:30), with reference vouchers ¥1,500 bought ahead or ¥1,800 on the day. The VIE DE FRANCE Electric Town Exit bakery, about a three-minute walk away, has bread-and-drink sets: weekdays from 07:00, weekends/holidays from 08:00, until 11:00, with vouchers ¥600 ahead or ¥700 same day. These are not the same meal or a hotel buffet; check which coupon is included.
What recent reviews show
The source examined ten Trip reviews posted October 2024–October 2026, against a platform total of 123 at capture. Guests often appreciate the location. A nonsmoking single-room traveler mentioned an elevator wait in August 2026; a smoking Double traveler mentioned no under-bed suitcase storage and a desire for laundry facilities in October. These are separate individual complaints, not evidence that every room lacks laundry or all lifts are constantly delayed.
One night or a longer stay
For solo shopping trips and one-night stays with light luggage this location makes sense. Two adults unpacking frequently should compare the Deluxe Twin and ask about washing clothes; current self-service laundry arrangements were not verified for this branch. For early flights or Tokyo Dome events, check transfers and first trains separately rather than assuming all attractions are close because Akihabara Station is nearby.
