River Villas Hiroshima
I would pick River Villas for two or three nights in Kokutaijimachi, especially when a kitchen, laundry and a shared living space are more useful than daily hotel service.
Rooms and bed layout
Unit 201 is around 36.7 m²; a separate 37 m² apartment lists three double beds. Units 202 and a fifth-floor option measure about 47 m², while a 52 m² layout lists two single beds, one double and a sofa bed. The sixth-floor penthouse is 54 m²; another 47 m² option lists three doubles and two sofa beds. The same floor area does not guarantee the same sleep arrangement. I would assign the sofa beds before booking.
Station and surroundings
At 1-5-31 Kokutaijimachi, the property is about a five-minute walk from Chuden-mae tram stop. I would visit Peace Memorial Park and the museum together, then head toward Hondori for dinner. Save the building entrance, unit number and floor before bringing suitcases.
Short or extended stays
A guest liked the natural light, clean bathroom and open feel. The kitchen and laundry become useful across several nights. When sofa beds are open, the living room also becomes a sleeping area, so groups with different bedtime habits need a plan.
Pros and trade-offs
Pros: apartments from 36.7 to 54 m²; useful kitchen and laundry; Peace Park access. Trade-offs: different beds by unit; self-directed arrival; sofa beds take over the living space.
My choice
I would choose the exact apartment by bedroom layout and who uses each bed, not by a general ‘river villa’ label.
