OUCHI HOTEL Fujimi | Loft Sleeping Spaces, an In-Room Kitchen and Laundry for a Longer Stay
Ouchi Hotel Fujimi

How to stay here
- In-room IH hob, microwave and tableware make simple meals easy.
- A washing machine suits stays of several nights and cuts down on clothes to pack.
- About 26–28 sqm, where two or three people can live together.
How would I choose?
OUCHI HOTEL Fujimi (Ouchi Hotel Fujimi) is an option I would keep for two or three travellers willing to use a loft sleeping space and wanting to do laundry in the room. The in-room IH hob, microwave, tableware and washing machine make a longer stay feel more like living there; the important trade-off is how the third person sleeps — “sleeps three” must not simply be read as three ordinary beds.
Check by room number at 26–28 sqm: a “double” name does not mean two flat beds
The common room numbers 201, 301, 501, 601, 602 and 701 are mainly about 28 sqm in a three-person layout, one double bed plus loft Japanese bedding; 202 is about 26 sqm. The third person’s loft sleeping space is different from an ordinary flat bed, so choosing a room means considering climbing and getting up at night together. Two people using the double bed leaves the loft and other space with more room to spare; if a third person is to go up to the loft, first check whether they can climb and whether getting up at night is convenient. With small children, older travellers, or companions with sore knees, I would settle this question before talking about price.
| Room type / room number | Size highlights | Beds |
|---|---|---|
| Most three-person units | About 28 sqm | Double bed + loft Japanese bedding |
| 202 | About 26 sqm | Double bed + loft Japanese bedding |

Buses around Fujimicho are closer; Hondori still takes a walk
Naka-ku Fujimicho 12-3, Naka Ward, 730-0043 Hiroshima, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan
The stay is at 12-3 Fujimicho, about 1 km on foot from Peace Memorial Park, about 610 m to Nagarekawa street, and about 1.1 km / an estimated 16 minutes to Hondori Station. When the trip centres on eating and shopping in the city centre and on Peace Park, I would treat it as an apartment base slightly away from the core shopping area. For arrival, compare buses around Fujimicho, and with luggage check the alighting stop and entry instructions first; coming from Hondori, allow for this walk in your timing. The building has an elevator, but the loft inside the room is another change in level, so sleeping spaces need to be thought about separately.

Laundry pays off over several nights; drying and housekeeping need separate planning
For a single night spent just sleeping, there is no need to spend time learning the loft and kitchen; over several nights, the in-room washing machine is very practical and reduces clothes to bring. After washing, drying time still has to be arranged — a washing machine cannot be treated as a machine that hands back dry clothes every time. I would put towels, rubbish and mid-stay tidying into the longer-stay plan together. This kind of stay suits people willing to keep their own living rhythm; if you want the front desk to handle the details every day and to not think about shared living arrangements before bed, an ordinary hotel will be less hassle.

How I would choose in the end
If two or three of us were staying on, willing to cook simple meals and do laundry ourselves, OUCHI HOTEL Fujimi’s facilities would suit us well. Two people sharing the double bed is simplest; with a third person using loft bedding, and with older travellers or small children along, climbing and getting up at night should come before room choice.

Strengths and trade-offs to accept
Strengths I value
- In-room IH hob, microwave and tableware make simple meals easy.
- A washing machine suits stays of several nights and cuts down on clothes to pack.
- About 26–28 sqm, where two or three people can live together.
Think this through before booking
- The third person uses loft bedding, so climbing must be considered.
- Hondori Station is about 1.1 km away, so arrival still involves a walk.
- Apartment-style tidying and drying must be arranged yourself.
