Mbuilding Hiroshima — Unit 501
Why I would book it
Unit 501 in Sakaimachi is a three-bedroom apartment designed for families or friends who prefer one shared base. It is more useful to plan who sleeps in which room than to rely on the maximum occupancy.
Bedrooms and bedding
The listed sleeping arrangements combine double beds, sofa beds and Japanese futons. When the sofa and floor bedding are laid out, part of the living room becomes sleeping space. I would give quieter bedrooms to early sleepers, then agree on when the remaining group can use lights and talk.
Location
At Sakaimachi 1-7-5, Peace Memorial Park is about 220 m away, the museum around 580 m and Atomic Bomb Dome 610 m. Hondori is about 830 m on foot. Depending on arrival direction, Dobashi and Honkawacho tram stops may be useful.
Arrival and longer stays
Check-in is from 15:00 to midnight, with departure before 11:00. It is self-check-in, so I would send the access instructions to every guest before arrival. One guest appreciated the feel of having an apartment to themselves on a floor; groups with different schedules still need to plan bathrooms and common areas.
Pros and trade-offs
Pros: three bedrooms and group living space, very close to Peace Memorial Park. Trade-offs: sofa beds and futons can occupy the shared room, and self-check-in requires coordination. I would book only after everyone agrees on bedding.
