How to stay here

  • Hatchobori department stores, restaurants and the convenience store downstairs are handy.
  • Three-way split bathroom rooms suit two people getting ready separately.
  • The 27㎡ Superior Twin gives more room to move, and breakfast includes local dishes.

How would I choose?

If you want to explore Hatchobori and like the bathroom and toilet kept separate, I would consider Vista. The 27㎡ twin suits a pair comparing rooms, while the 18㎡-class rooms call for checking luggage space, hanging space and the washbasin layout together.

Hotel Vista Hiroshima suits people who want Hatchobori shopping, Shukkeien Garden and city-centre dining in their trip. Rooms with the bathroom, toilet and washbasin separated are a clear feature: when two people get ready in the morning at the same time, the layout matters more than the floor area alone.

I would have two people each carrying a large suitcase compare the 27㎡ Superior Twin first; if you want to keep the accommodation budget down, then look back at the 18㎡-class double rooms. If you prefer the washbasin fully inside the bathroom, it is also worth checking the room layout first.

18㎡ Rooms: Check Storage; 27㎡ Twins: Check Space for Two

Standard Double 18.3㎡, Moderate Double 18㎡, Superior Double 21.3㎡; the 27㎡ Superior Twin has two single beds. Room sizes step up gradually, and the three-way split layout should also be considered together with your own daily routine.

Some guests felt a room could fit one 28-inch suitcase, while others noted the lack of a wardrobe and limited hanging space. I would look at unpacking space and a place to hang coats together, which matters especially for stays of three nights or more.

The three-way split is a division of use: while one person showers, the other can still use the toilet or washbasin; it does not automatically add hanging space, a luggage rack or desk space. If I bring a long coat and stay several nights, I would also check hanging space and room beside the washbasin for toiletries, rather than being drawn only by the bathroom layout.

Local dishes plus Japanese-Western fare — worth one slow morning

Breakfast drew praise from guests for food quality and flavour, and repeat-stay guests liked the small daily changes. Vista Café on the 2nd floor serves a Japanese-Western buffet including okonomiyaki, conger eel ochazuke and daily specials; if you want several Hiroshima flavours in one meal, I would put a breakfast-included plan on the comparison list.

Served 6:30–10:00, last orders 9:30; as of October 2026, the adult add-on price seen was 1,870 yen. If you eat little or head out early every day, the convenience store downstairs and eateries in the shopping district are also easy options. (Daily hours and reference prices checked: 22 October 2026; follow the hotel’s on-site notices.)

Hatchobori trams, Shukkeien about 620 metres away

6-15 Teppocho, Naka Ward, 730-0017 Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan

The hotel is in Teppocho, and the main arrival point is Hatchobori tram stop. Fukuya Hatchobori main store is about 250 metres on foot and PARCO about 410 metres; the convenience store downstairs and nearby supermarkets are everyday conveniences guests repeatedly praised.

Shukkeien Garden is about 620 metres on foot and the Hiroshima Prefectural Art Museum about 540 metres; I would put the garden, the museum and a Noboricho lunch together. JR Hiroshima Station is about 1.2 km on foot, so take city transport when dragging a large suitcase; Peace Park, about 1.1 km away, can be left for another day to see at a slower pace.

If you want to eat Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, I would fit Shin-Tenchi Okonomi-mura in after PARCO or Hondori shopping; Shukkeien and the museum deserve a fuller slot of their own.

One night to enjoy the layout, several nights to plan laundry and cleaning

Many guests liked the separate bathroom, the convenience store and the cleanliness, while some long-stay guests found the full-cleaning schedule and towel delivery not as expected. I would settle on check-in day which days need tidying, rather than dealing with it only when returning to the room each day.

Some guests noted the laundry and dryers queue up in the evening; if staying several nights, I would move laundry to the morning or afternoon instead of leaving it to the last night. If storage, cleaning and laundry all work, Vista’s shopping-district location and three-way split layout show their value even more.

How I would choose in the end

If I want Hatchobori shopping, Shukkeien and Noboricho as the focus, Vista’s three-way split bathroom is worth comparing first. Two people each with a large suitcase should look at the 27㎡ twin first and consider the 18㎡ class only when travelling light; if you like local hot dishes for breakfast, keep one breakfast, without rushing to add it every day. For longer stays, plan cleaning and laundry/drying times in advance.
