Who this place suits

  • The Tokaichi location suits tram and Peace Memorial Park itineraries.
  • Nearby Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki shops and convenience stores earn guest praise.
  • Guests mention the lift and laundry facilities as convenient.

How would I choose?

Dai3Kuboi Building 302 is a small apartment I would compare by specific unit, suited to people focused on city sightseeing who are happy to handle check-in themselves. The Tokaichi location is attractive, but I would put heating and cooling, bedding and how to contact someone about problems ahead of choosing a room — especially when travelling with children in winter.

How the room types differ

Room 302 has two large beds, suited to companions happy to share beds. Decide who sleeps where first, then fit in space for large suitcases and eating — that gets closer to your needs than just counting beds.

Guests in July 2025 found the space on the small side, but acceptable for just two nights spent mostly out during the day; guests in 2024 liked the beds and laundry facilities. How much luggage two people have, and whether you need to eat in the room, will decide suitability better than simply counting beds.

The room also has a kitchen with a fridge and hob, a microwave and a balcony, handy for simple meals and reheating takeaway.

Arrive via Tokaichimachi, then link the surrounding itinerary

1 Chome-1-33 Tokaichimachi, Naka Ward, 730-0805 Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan

The address is 1-33 Tokaichimachi 1-chome, reachable from around the Tokaichimachi tram stop; Kencho-mae Station is about 1 km on foot, an estimated 14 minutes. The north-west side of Peace Memorial Park and the Atomic Bomb Dome can be done on the same day, then Hondori for eating and shopping, keeping the itinerary compact.

Guests in December 2024 liked the nearby Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki shops and convenience stores, and mentioned convenient trams and buses. My approach would be to settle luggage first, then go out to the park, rather than carrying suitcases into the sights.

Trade-offs for one night versus a longer stay

Family guests in February 2025 reported that it stayed cold even with the heating on, and that contacting staff for help did not meet expectations, so they ended up moving elsewhere. That makes me prioritise heating and on-site help when choosing in winter; not every trip can easily absorb a last-minute change of accommodation.

Guests in December 2024 mentioned the lift and washer-dryer facilities as convenient, but also found the bathroom small and the shower lacking a curtain. I would put winter comfort and bathroom needs ahead of per-person cost; over several nights, these everyday differences show more.

Chosen for the Tokaichi location; winter heating is the key trade-off

I would consider 302 for the Tokaichi location, two large beds and kitchen; there is a concrete winter experience of heating and help-request handling falling short, and feedback that the bathroom is cramped and lacks a shower curtain. People travelling with children, or needing reliable on-site help, should put these limits first.
