How to stay here

  • Nagarekawa Street is about 120 m away, with dining and shopping concentrated nearby.
  • Free breakfast 6:30–10:00, simple but well regarded.
  • Double rooms are 21–23㎡, with coin laundry.

How would I choose?

Sejour Inn Nagarekawa is a practical hotel I would consider for a downtown dining trip. Free breakfast, coin laundry and 21–23㎡ double rooms give it more staying power than a place just to sleep for a night; if the focus of the trip is Nagarekawa, Shintenchi and Hondori, this location is easy to plan around.

Sejour Inn Nagarekawa suits people who put dining out in Nagarekawa and Shintenchi first and still want an independent guest room. Free simple breakfast, 21–23㎡ double rooms and coin laundry are reasons I would consider a longer stay; the trade-off is that JR Hiroshima Station is still some distance away, so it cannot be treated as a station-side hotel.

Room types, beds and living space

A single room is 14㎡, suited to a short solo stop; a double room is 21㎡ with one double bed, and a deluxe double room is 23㎡, 2㎡ larger. For two people staying longer, I would compare the latter two first, especially when wanting some space to sort clothes and shopping bags, rather than the smallest room type.

The hotel states that guest-room bathrooms use 2024-model fittings and that bathroom entrances have been updated to step-free access, a change worth noting. If you come for a specific bathtub or VIP facility, you still need to choose the right room type; higher-grade facilities do not automatically appear in an ordinary double room.

Breakfast and nearby dining

Free buffet breakfast leans simple-but-adequate. Guests in April 2025 found the simple buffet still very satisfying, and people in 2024 also liked the included-breakfast arrangement; rice, side dishes, bread, salad and drinks make the meal before heading out less of a chore.

Breakfast is served in the lobby, 6:30–10:00, leaving room whether you want to head out early or sleep a little later. My approach would be to treat it as a convenient basic breakfast, and if you want to eat local cuisine specially, save the budget for Nagarekawa or Shintenchi restaurants.

Location, transport and nearby itineraries

5-26 Nagarekawacho, Naka Ward, 730-0028 Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan

The address is 5-26 Nagarekawacho; Nagarekawa Street is about a 120 m walk, and PARCO and Don Quijote Hatchobori are both about 340 m away. I would put shopping, izakaya, ramen or Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki on the same day, without a long transfer after dinner.

Hondori Station is about 890 m on foot, Peace Memorial Park about 1.2 km, and JR Hiroshima Station about 1.6 km. Coming from the station, compare connecting via Ebisu-cho or Hatchobori for the last leg; if carrying large luggage, deal with it first and then start shopping, for a lighter itinerary.

Lunch and dinner can be arranged as one stretch around PARCO and Shintenchi Okonomimura, while breakfast uses the in-house slot from 6:30.

Coin laundry and 21–23㎡ double rooms make longer stays more practical

For a one-night short stay, the most direct benefit here is the number of restaurants; guests have mentioned izakaya, ramen and Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki options. For several nights, coin laundry can be used; the services page reference prices are 300 yen per 4.5 kg wash and 100 yen per 30 minutes of drying (checked 23 October 2026), and I would wash a small load first and leave enough drying time.

The hotel changes duvet covers daily, and coin laundry also fits a two- or three-night itinerary. If mainly using city transport, this hotel’s appeal concentrates on Nagarekawa dining, 21–23㎡ double rooms and free simple breakfast.
