How to Stay Here

  • About 1 minute from the Ginzancho tram stop, with convenient city-centre dining and shopping.
  • Local breakfast earns specific praise for its stew, soups and more.
  • Single, king and twin rooms let you choose by how you sleep.

How Would I Choose?

Chisun Hotel Hiroshima is an option I would keep for travellers who want less wayfinding and more time out during the day. Its spot beside the Ginzancho tram stop is intuitive, and eating and shopping are convenient; the trade-off is that the small double room is only 11.5㎡, so when two people each bring a large suitcase, I would first look at the 14㎡ king or the 15㎡ twin.

Room-Type Differences

The single and small double rooms are both 11.5㎡; the difference is mainly bed type and occupancy, not extra activity space in the small double. The 14㎡ standard king lets two people share a bed, while the 15㎡ twin has two single beds, so people who want separate beds can compare the latter directly.

I would put smoking status and area ahead of the room name, and not assume from the “King A” label that it is a large room. For one night with only carry-on luggage, a small room is easier to accept; for longer stays with more shopping, the extra room for hanging clothes and unpacking suitcases is worth paying a bit more for.

Breakfast and Nearby Dining

Breakfast has specific local-dish praise worth a look if you like Japanese food. Guests like the meat-and-potato stew and soups, and some praise the creativity of the sauce-topped fried tofu; compared with just saying there is variety, these dishes better show whether you want breakfast in the morning.

The first-floor Japanese-Western buffet breakfast runs 6:30–9:30. My approach: if you stay in the city centre in the morning and want hot food, compare breakfast-included plans; if you eat little for breakfast or want to visit cafés, keep eating out. There is a convenience store beside the hotel, and lunch and dinner along Hatchobori and Hondori also work smoothly.

The stew, soups and fried tofu above come mainly from original 2025 meal reviews, as a preference reference, not a fixed daily menu. The 6:30–9:30 hours were checked on 2026-10-22; if I head out before 6:30, I would choose a no-breakfast plan, and the nearby FamilyMart can cover supplies the night before.

Plan Arrival from the Station, Then Link Nearby Itineraries

14-7 Noboricho, Naka Ward, 730-0016 Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan

The hotel is at 14-7 Noboricho, about a 1-minute walk from the Ginzancho tram stop and about 13 minutes from JR Hiroshima Station. In rain or with lots of luggage, I would first get close to the hotel by tram, then handle the last stretch; if you choose to walk directly, keep the walking time in your arrival plan too.

Fukuya Hatchobori main store is about a 340-metre walk, Nagarekawa about 530 metres, and Peace Memorial Park about 1.3 km. This is a good base for keeping shopping and one city-centre meal near the stay, then setting aside another half day to visit the park and museum at a relaxed pace.

Put Ginzancho Transport First: For Two People, Look at 14–15㎡ Rooms

14-7 Noboricho, Naka Ward, 730-0016 Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan

If you spend the daytime mostly outside and want to reach your stay with one tram ride, I would look at Chisun. One person can compare the 11.5㎡ rooms; for two people with large suitcases or wanting separate beds, compare the 14–15㎡ rooms first. Breakfast starts at 6:30; if you like hot food, consider a breakfast-included plan, and treat the local-dish reviews as a preference reference, not a daily menu.

One Night vs. Longer Stays: The Trade-Offs

A one-night stay most easily shows the convenience of the tram-stop location; for longer stays, consider laundry, drying and towel/linen cleaning together. Guests praise the cleanliness, friendly service and help with storing luggage, though some find the building a bit dated — a practical-minded choice.

If you need to borrow an iron or charger, leave some slack: in August 2025 someone found most borrowable items already lent out. Drivers should also note the partner car park’s location, which some guests found a bit far. I would count these extra steps into the overall convenience.

Strengths and Trade-Offs to Accept

Strengths I Value

  • About 1 minute from the Ginzancho tram stop, with convenient city-centre dining and shopping.
  • Local breakfast earns specific praise for its stew, soups and more.
  • Single, king and twin rooms let you choose by how you sleep.

Think Through Before Booking

  • The 11.5㎡ small double does not suit large amounts of luggage.
  • The building feels dated, and smoking and non-smoking rooms must be told apart.
  • Borrowable items may run out, and the partner car park has been reported as far.
