How would I choose?

I would compare Room 202 for families wanting a larger studio space in Tanakamachi. The 36.4㎡ and two double beds are clear-cut, but the entrance location and self-check-in need to be arranged before departure.

Morimoto Coop 202 is at Tanakamachi 2-23: a 36.4㎡ city studio room with two double beds for up to four people. What draws me is having fuller room to move around when back in the room; but as a studio, if someone sleeps early and someone stays up late, you still have to accept sharing one living space.

How this place works best

  • At 36.4㎡, a studio room where the space and sleeping places are clear.
  • Two double beds suit a small family or travel companions who can share beds.
  • Guests praise the cleanliness and the relatively large indoor space.

How to choose the room type: two double beds — first check how everyone shares beds

Room 202 is a 36.4㎡ city studio room with two double beds for up to four people; the studio layout has no two bedrooms you can close off. Two guests keep more room to move around; four must accept sharing beds and one living space, and I would look at the flow for unpacking and the dining table together.

Guests in December 2025 liked the cleanliness, and in September 2026 studio-room guests found it larger and more comfortable than a typical hotel room. If you want to work at night while someone else sleeps, still consider light and sound within the studio layout.

Room and bathroom photos

Tanakamachi 2-23: save an entrance photo, not just the navigation point

2-23 Tanakamachi, Naka Ward, 730-0026 Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan

I would plan transport from Tanakamachi and the eastern stretch of Peace Boulevard, and save the Room 202 number together with an entrance photo before departure. A September 2025 guest noted the map led to the barbecue restaurant next door, with the main gate tucked beside it; on a first arrival, one more photo of the doorway is often more useful than just saving the map point.

An itinerary can put Peace Boulevard, Nagarekawa and Shintenchi dining on the same day, with Hondori shopping right after. Peace Memorial Park gets a separate morning, so you don’t have to travel back and forth every day just to meet up.

For dining, Shintenchi Okonomimura and PARCO can go into the same outing.

Longer stays use the washer-dryer; short stays test whether a studio suits you

The room has a washer-dryer, so travelling light on a longer stay means less laundry to change into; putting laundry time on an unhurried evening makes this facility easier to actually use.

For a single night, I would first check whether I can get in smoothly at my own arrival time, then compare total costs; over several nights, the space and laundry get more use. When companions can accept sharing beds and routines, this place’s apartment feel fits better.

Strengths and trade-offs to accept

Strengths I value

  • At 36.4㎡, a studio room where the space and sleeping places are clear.
  • Two double beds suit a small family or travel companions who can share beds.
  • Guests praise the cleanliness and the relatively large indoor space.

Think this through before booking

  • The studio layout lacks separate-bedroom privacy.
  • The entrance has confused guests before, so save a photo in advance.
  • Four people must share two double beds.
