Hiroshima Park Side Hotel: About 3 Minutes from Hondori, Small Rooms for Peace Park Convenience
Hotel Park Side Hiroshima Peace Park

How to Stay Here
- About a 3-minute walk from Hondori Station, good for arranging sightseeing and shopping.
- Peace Park, Fukuro-machi and Hondori can be strung into the same itinerary.
- There are 10㎡ small rooms, 14㎡ doubles and 17㎡ twins to choose from.
How Would I Choose?
I would compare Park Side for a Peace Park and Hondori itinerary. The 10 to 17㎡ room sizes step up clearly; two people wanting more luggage and moving space can start by comparing the 14㎡ double and 17㎡ twin.
Hotel Park Side Hiroshima Peace Park, at 2-6-24 Otemachi, suits people who want their stay between the park and the shopping street. My way of choosing is to look first at how long I will spend in the room each day: mainly showering and sleeping, a small room can be compared; wanting to relax slowly in the room, size matters more.
Room Types, Space and Choosing: Clear Differences Among 10, 14 and 17㎡
There are 10㎡ small rooms, 14㎡ doubles and 17㎡ twins, and the size steps are very direct. The 14㎡ double has one double bed; if two people each bring a large suitcase, I would compare the 17㎡ option first, and put whether luggage fits at the foot of the bed and in the walkway ahead of other room-choice factors.
| Room Type | Area |
|---|---|
| Small room | 10㎡ |
| Double room | 14㎡ |
| Twin room | 17㎡ |

About a 3-Minute Walk from Hondori Station, Sightseeing and Dining Connect
2 Chome-6-24 Otemachi, Naka Ward, 730-0051 Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan
Hondori Station is about a 3-minute walk away, and when taking the Astram Line, the east exit 1 has a ground-level lift, so you can choose your exit route by your luggage. This location suits going to the museum first, then along Peace Park toward the Atomic Bomb Dome, and afterwards eating and shopping on Hondori.
For meals you can extend toward Hondori and Fukuro-machi, and if you want Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, add Shintenchi Okonomimura into the shopping route. The Atomic Bomb Dome is mainly viewed from outside its fence, so I would leave more time for the park and exhibitions.

For Longer Stays, Look at Laundry Too; Arrange Departure Transport First
The stay includes a laundry service and luggage storage, so longer stays can plan laundry; if you still want to visit the park or Hondori after check-out, storing bags is also useful.
In October 2024 guests reported room odours and unsuitable pillows, and one case of asking the front desk to call a taxi at short notice without success; in 2025 there were also good reviews for cleanliness, luggage storage and staff help. If you need to reach the station on time the next day, I would arrange transport early.

Trading Small Rooms for Short Stays for the Park and Hondori Location
Centred on Peace Park and Hondori, I would look at Park Side’s location; for two people, compare the 14㎡ double or 17㎡ twin first, to leave more room for luggage and living. If you must depart on time the next day, arranging transport early suits better than calling a taxi just before leaving.
