How to stay here

  • Hatchobori 12-2, where department stores, dining and city transport are concentrated.
  • 62–63㎡ lets a group stay in one apartment.
  • Three listings with different capacities and layouts, to choose by your group’s needs.

How Would I Choose?

What draws me to bHOTEL Nikke Hatchobori (Bhotel Nikke) is that a whole group can stay in Hatchobori, where shopping and eating out are convenient. Its three listings at 12-2 come in 62 or 63㎡ settings for ten or twelve guests; I would first choose the layout and beds, then look at the whole-apartment cost, rather than letting the similar names lead me.

The three bHOTEL Nikke Hatchobori (Bhotel Nikke) listings are all at Hatchobori 12-2, and suit groups focused on department stores, eating out and central sightseeing. I would first separate the 62㎡ ten-guest and 63㎡ twelve-guest options before talking about the convenience of staying together; sharing a building and similar names does not mean bedrooms, facilities and room numbers are interchangeable.

Room Types, Beds and Living Space

The three options are a 62㎡ apartment for ten, a 62㎡ studio for ten, and a 63㎡ apartment for twelve. The 62㎡ ten-guest apartment has four large beds plus a sofa bed; the 63㎡ twelve-guest apartment has two bedrooms, five double beds and a living-room sofa bed.

At 63㎡, only 1㎡ more than 62㎡, two extra guests are added without a clear increase in living space. I would first sort out shared beds and living-room sleeping spots, then work out how all the suitcases and daily routines fit; taking fewer guests and keeping more shared space is also a way to choose.

Location, Transport and Nearby Itineraries

Hatchobori 12-2, Naka-ku, 730-0013 Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan

All three listings are at Hatchobori 12-2, about 210 metres’ walk from the Fukuya Hatchobori Main Store and about 800 metres from the Hiroshima Bus Center. Shopping, finding restaurants and using city transport are easy to combine, and a group does not have to split up by car for every meal.

The Peace Memorial Park is about 1 km on foot and Hiroshima Station about 1.2 km; Shukkeien Garden can take a separate half day of garden and museum time. After approaching the apartment from the Hiroden Hatchobori direction, I would first follow the entry directions for the unit booked, then start shopping.

One Night or a Longer Stay: the Trade-Offs

For a single night, arrival, entry and dividing up beds matter most; on a longer stay, the density of many people sharing daily routines in 62 to 63㎡ is felt more easily. Once the living room is made up as a bed, getting up early to pack or chatting at night has to work around those already resting.

I would keep these three listings for groups who know each other well and are happy to share living space. If several families each need a lockable bedroom and a private bathroom, comparing total prices across several hotels is more practical; an apartment’s advantage is living together, and full occupancy is not the only way to choose.

Hatchobori Group Apartments: Extra Notes on Choosing a Room

The 63㎡ twelve-guest listing is described as two bedrooms, five double beds plus a living-room sofa bed. It is not simply a one-guest-more version of the same building’s 62㎡ ten-guest room: the more guests, the more important it is to plan turns for the bathroom in the morning and evening and where to put luggage. I would first list whether every companion can share a bed before deciding whether one apartment is worth replacing several hotel rooms.

Hatchobori’s advantage is that department stores, shopping streets and city tram routes are concentrated. If the trip centres on rail travel to Miyajima or Hiroshima Station, add the return time to the station into the itinerary. Compare the three apartment types by beds and privacy, rather than treating different Trip numbers as different hotels.

Strengths and Trade-Offs to Accept

Strengths I value

  • Hatchobori 12-2, where department stores, dining and city transport are concentrated.
  • 62–63㎡ lets a group stay in one apartment.
  • Three listings with different capacities and layouts, to choose by your group’s needs.

Think through before booking

  • The twelve-guest version adds only 1㎡, so living density is higher.
  • Shared beds and living-room sleeping spots need agreement from everyone.
