Hanagin Building Hiroshima
Why I would stay
At Hanagin Building in Kanayamacho, I would select the unit number before comparing prices. The same building has a 16 m² studio for light-luggage travelers and apartments up to 76 m² for groups.
Which unit to choose
Unit 101 is a 16 m² open-plan room with one large bed. Unit 102 is 45 m² with two large beds and a sofa bed, giving more luggage and living space. Units 201, 301 and 401 have 76 m² multi-bedroom arrangements. These are not interchangeable room types; a group should confirm the bed positions and which room is being booked.
Nearby itinerary
Kanayamacho works well for Nagarekawa dining, Shintenchi and Hatchobori shopping. I would give Peace Memorial Park and its museum a separate half day, then eat in Hondori instead of trying to fit everything into arrival afternoon.
Guest feedback and access
Guests in the 102 unit liked the space and cleanliness but also mentioned weak soundproofing. Another first-floor guest noticed street headlights and noise. Others found entry instructions awkward, although responsive contact was reported too. I would save the entrance photo, keypad code and unit details before arrival.
Pros and trade-offs
Pros: 16–76 m² choice and downtown restaurant access. Trade-offs: noise varies by position, self check-in and different beds by unit. I would choose a precise unit for my group, not assume the largest photographs describe the smallest studio.
