Grand Base Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park
Overview
Grand Base is an apartment-style stay in Sakaimachi that I would use for a family or friends staying more than a night. Kitchen facilities, an in-room washing machine and bathroom drying are more useful across several days than on a rushed overnight stop.
Room A–G comparison
Standard A, B and C rooms are around 37 m² with two double beds. Type D is 40 m² with one double and two single beds, better if some travelers prefer separate sleeping spaces. Type E is 42 m² with two doubles and one single. Type F is 58 m² with four doubles, some in the living area; Type G is 70 m² with two bedrooms holding two doubles each. I would choose G if two family groups need bedroom separation. Extra beds and futons are not supplied according to the saved guide.
Location
At Sakaimachi 1-7-9, Dobashi tram stop is about three minutes away and Honkawacho about six minutes. Peace Memorial Park is around 270 m, its museum 620 m and Atomic Bomb Dome 660 m. This works well when the park is the primary destination.
Check-in
The property uses unattended self check-in. Some travelers report a smooth procedure after preparing their details, while a guest in Type F described difficulty and a wait for assistance. I would complete any registration steps before arrival and save the contact information.
Pros and trade-offs
Pros: 37–70 m², kitchen, laundry and bath drying, Peace Park access. Trade-offs: no staffed reception, different bed arrangements by room, and a group sharing the living area. I would confirm the precise type before booking.
