EN HOTEL Hiroshima: Twin Rooms by the Kyobashi River, Breakfast and Air-Conditioning Trade-offs
EN Hotel Hiroshima

How to stay here
- Riverside Kyobashi location suits Noboricho, Hatchobori and Shukkeien itineraries.
- 20㎡ twin rooms and a triple room with a sofa bed can be allocated.
- Breakfast starts at 6:30 and can be booked the day before.
How would I choose?
If you like a riverside location and want to explore Noboricho and Hatchobori, I would look at EN HOTEL; the 20㎡ twin suits two people sleeping separately, but if you are sensitive to heat or machine noise, take extra care.
EN Hotel Hiroshima is at 7-8 Kanayamacho, by the Kyobashi River. What appeals to me is the riverside location and the flexibility it gives for Noboricho and Hatchobori itineraries. Two people who want separate beds can start by comparing the 20㎡ twin room; if you particularly want a river view, choose a category that explicitly lists a river view, so the view becomes a definite reason for your room choice.
Twin and triple rooms are both 20㎡, but they feel different
The EN Double is about 16㎡, suited to light packers or a solo stay; the EN Twin is about 20㎡, and its two single beds let travelling companions rest separately. The EN Triple is also 20㎡, arranging three people with two single beds plus a sofa bed, leaving less living space once the beds are made up. I would choose the twin for separate beds, and for three people I would first think about how to stow the luggage.
There are also larger room types and special upper-floor river-view rooms; if the budget allows, you can upgrade by view and activity space, but check bed type, castle view and river view separately. Guests like the comfort of the beds, and some also find the rooms spacious, which is why it is worth comparing.
| Room type | Size | Layout |
|---|---|---|
| EN Double | 16㎡ | One small double bed |
| Double room | 17㎡ | One large double bed |
| EN Twin | 20㎡ | Two single beds |
| EN Triple | 20㎡ | Two single beds plus a sofa bed |
| Deluxe triple room | 29㎡ | Larger triple room; castle-view category |

Some guests like the breakfast; others mind the temperature and drinks
Some guests like the taste of breakfast, while others mind the drinks and the temperature of hot food. A twin-room guest in March 2025 praised it directly as delicious; a February traveller liked the Japanese and Western choices but found the juice flavour light, another twin-room guest in April commented on the coffee and food temperature, and someone in July wished for more fruit and yoghurt. I would treat it as a convenient option for one meal; if coffee or fresh fruit matters a lot to you, eating out is worth comparing too.
The 1st-floor Japanese and Western buffet breakfast runs 6:30–9:30, with last orders at 9:00; booking the day before costs 1,500 yen, and 1,700 yen on the day (information dated 22 October 2026). If you leave early, check whether the serving hours fit; for consecutive nights, decide by the difference between rates with and without breakfast — you do not have to eat the same meal every day.
Arriving via Kanayamacho, Shukkeien and Hatchobori split well into stages
7-8 Kanayamacho, Naka Ward, 730-0022 Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan
You can take the Hiroden tram and get off at Kanayamacho, then head toward the Kyobashi River side. There is still a stretch to JR Hiroshima Station, so with suitcases I would weigh the tram against transport that drops you right at the door, especially on a trip where you must catch an early train the next day.
I would put Shukkeien, Noboricho and Hatchobori into the same day, leave a full visit time for Peace Memorial Park and the museum separately, then continue to Hondori or Shintenchi Okonomimura. Nearby convenience stores and restaurants are praised by guests, so everyday supplies do not all require going back to Hiroshima Station; the advantage of the riverside location is itinerary flexibility, though you still need to allow transfer time for an early JR train.

If you are sensitive to heat or need many power outlets, think one step further
Air conditioning is the limitation I mind most: a double-room guest in October 2026 said only the fan setting could be adjusted, and a twin-room guest in April 2025 also found spring already stuffy; another twin-room traveller staying three consecutive nights in the same month encountered machine and air-conditioning noise. If you are sensitive to temperature or sound, I would put room position and the air-conditioning setup ahead of the view, and not assume these issues have gone away because of newer positive reviews.
For a single night you can focus on the riverside location and the beds; for consecutive nights, charging needs matter too. Some guests found few outlets, far from the bed, so for people carrying several devices who need to charge by the bed, that limitation affects everyday use more easily than the window view.
